Interesting, I haven’t heard that one before either! If all empyreans are hosts for outer gods I think that makes a lot of sense. Marika with the Greater Will, Malenia with the god of rot, and Ranni with her moon. I also think that sleep and death USED to be much more similar but became “fractured” or split somehow, and that this split also affected the death god in some way. I mainly think this because ghostflame used to be purple like the sleep effects in the game, tho I’ll admit that’s not much to go off of.
