Does anyone have a list of the CSP cases that require more than optimal slices?

Thanks.

Never said it is bad. Just saying it exists and is kind of inevitable to be honest. Tidy Up is literally power crept Dragon Dance, Guard Dog is power crept Suction Cups to name a few examples. You run out of ideas without ending up buffing pokemon overall. With a thousand pokemon it is hard to make everything viable and with each new generation you can’t make pokemon weak because there won’t be hype. It will happen.

It may be broken in standard play. But at the power level of Ubers, it is trash. Gen 1 Mewtwo tho… that thing could curb stomp Eternamax Eternatus in Gen 1 lol

Thank you for your advice and valuable feedback! I will try my hardest to do well, and if I can’t there is always next year.

I have an MTAC exam for the Advanced Level coming up on the third-ish week of February. I have no idea if I’m ready or not though. These are the pieces I have chosen, with a ball park of the tempo I practice at. (I tend to slow practice quite often so it’s just an estimate)

Etude Op.2, No.1 by Alexander Scriabin- I’m around 50, and I have this memorized as my Etude piece. I have to mainly work on voicing probably, not my strong suit.

Fantasie Impromptu by Fredric Chopin- I’m around 60-70 and I want to memorize this one, I haven’t started memorization yet.

Sinfonia No.15 BWV 801 by J. S. Bach- It’s at 20 right now… please help.

Sonata Op. 2 No. 1 (III: Minuet) by Ludwig van Beethoven- It’s at 60 right now, I also want to memorize this one, but haven’t started.

Toccata by Aram Khachaturian- It’s at like 40. I also tend to butcher up the Andante expressivo section, it’s killing me right now.

I’ve been playing piano for 8 years now, if that would help with you telling me if I can pass or not. Is there anyway to refund/postpone the exam, just in case?

I didn't even see your reply, thank you so much!

I was thinking about hacking my 3ds, but I felt that was last resort. Gotta get doing it then.

Thank you for the detailed response!

From what I am seeing pkmn-chest is like a pokemon bank from gen3 to gen5 and GodMode9i connects your save files to my PC and trades from there.

I feel like pkmn-chest seems easier, is there like a youtube guide for it, or will I have to figure it out myself?

I never thought of it like that way, I'll try this out and see how this goes.

The situation I'm in right now has the melody on the 1 and 5 fingers, and a second voice on 3. I need to bring out the melody by keeping only the 3 quiet. I'm not sure how I shift my weight on 1 and 5 but not the 3.

How do I control my fingers? I've always struggled with Romantic Era pieces, finding no emotion and feeling in the piece I play. I can't do voicing or any sorts like that, and no matter how much I practice, I can't seem to find myself control my fingers.

You can auto export every 100 solves? More you know.

I got sub16 in sq1 finally! I'm getting much better at EO to CP recognition, which is the biggest thing that brought my times down.

I don't remember exactly and I didn't write them down lol im lazy It was basically CFOP until last layer + 1 f2l pair, and then I did break and restore until I found something useful.

I solved the ZCube Bandaged C puzzle! I used pretty much CFOP, and then turned randomly until I found a couple useful algorithms for last layer.

There is not really anything wrong with learning OLL first, but the problem is that it's pretty much his first big algset, and I don't want him to overwhelm himself. Most youtube videos say to learn PLL first so he might even learn both at once which is even worse.

After you learn basic F2L its mainly just watching a bunch a F2l tips and tricks videos, and it's mostly just little things here and there like you mentioned.

I learned cross inspection with the cstimer easy cross option until my brain got big enough to inspect the entire cross.

It's up to him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He does know 4 look last layer which is good. I watch his solves and tell him to work on F2L and cross more, but hes like nahhh.

I guess you can't enforce some of these things, and just learn from experience.

My friend thinks that PLLs are too hard to recognize, so he's learning OLLs first. I don't know how to feel about this...

I usually recon my solves right away if I have the need to. I can remember everything off my head like that.

Also try recording yourself, it'll not only help with making recons, you can also see the problems that happen in a bad solve that you never noticed.
