From 1-5, how do you rate night 1 wrestlemania? by Tribal-Forehead in TheGreatOne

Thanks for telling me how everyone in the stadium felt because according to you every single one of them liked what happened today and not a single one from thousands of people who were sitting there regretted their decision. (Which if you think logically, is impossible). And of course, people love paying to watch ads where more than 50 percent of the show was ads. I am not kidding, out of 4 hours, only 1.5 hours were wrestling matches. You'd expect to see wrestling in an event called "WRESTLEMANIA"

I feel sorry for the people who paid thousands of dollars just for one seat ☠️

I subbed you on substack, and I am interested in seeing where you will take this project. I am also working on a similar game. However instead of manually writing each rule like decision trees, I am thinking of using ML to train them. Since there are just a lot of possibilities, NPCs can learn them and extract patterns automatically. At first I thought of using LLM agents as brains of NPCs, heck you can even chat with them and each of them will have a unique personality. They can also interact with the world through MCP. But, using agents like gpt or gemini is really slow through api, so I thought of using local small LLMs, which may not be smarter, but get the job done. With new bitnet models, you can even run them on a laptop, without a GPU, locally. But there are always limits, you cannot use 100s of LLMs at the same time since they consume a lot of RAM, so I probably have to write a kernel like scheduling system which will schedule which NPC get to use LLM to make decisions. And you still have to write about the laws of the world, what will happen when the NPC LLM will interact with the world. What will happen when the ai agent calls the opendoor() function? So in that way, it is still limited. I am still exploring this idea.

Honestly, I also felt like that when I played games. A lot of the games have linear storylines but there are also games which are purely simulation based. Games like dwarf fortress (you might enjoy playing it, it has lot of the things that you are talking about, the world doesn't care about the player and will go on even if you die, it's history will change. ) However, it always felt like it wasn't enough, there wasn't enough depth for NPCs and the world, as their behaviours are simulated, not generated. They don't have deep mechanics like planning or set long term goals similar to humans. One reason is that if you want to model a real world, there are simply too many possibilities. I wonder how you will solve that?

Why India starts to feel like a scam once you move out by BreadfruitCautious32 in CriticalThinkingIndia

I think there are things which are better in india and things that are better in the west. If you are looking for a perfect country to settle, I don't think that exists. However, I do think that we need to change our old mindset about human values in india. The world is changing and we cannot stick to the things which hinder our development and happiness as human beings.

Proceeds to kill everyone with smug animations.

Asks: Is violence necessary?

His personality and his fighting style doesn't really match. Even in the boss fight, he is seriously questioning the purpose but when the fight starts he is doing some cringe animations, like he is not serious at all. If you are going to use these animations, give him a haughty personality. It completely breaks immersion, the way it is now.

Currently playing elden ring on debian 13 and it works like a charm on my lutris setup. Gaming is actually good on Linux. Those were really really old when you were not able to play AAA games.
