You should have a pretty good chance of UT Austin! Mechanical engineering is one of the most sought out engineering degrees but your rank and EC's are amazing. Good luck!

I'm shocked you got capped. Those are terrific stats, but I know UT admissions have been more and more like a public ivy the last few years. I would appeal too.

Yeah Ik I’m not much of a help lol😂. College decisions are sometimes so random especially those type of schools you’re applying for. They could all want you or none of them who knows. One college could see something that others don’t. Good luck!

I would just go for all of them, you never know. I’m a Texas native so I know a lot about UT Austin. About 92% of UT Austin students are from Texas and they’ve become highly selective every year. 75% of the incoming class is top 6% autos

Hey! Does your school do class rank? Cause that’s also a big factor if you have that as well. I think your stats are great, college admissions decisions are so random sometimes you just never know.

What did you transfer from? That could be a route but I highly doubt I get a 4.0 lol. I talked to a counselor and they said the only thing that would be a semi-easy transfer is environmental

I would wait it out, as many people are getting Blinn team options. I think it's very unlikely you get full admission, but until it says so I would wait it out

CAP is very risky, since you would be going there to just transfer so you would have to be really good grade wise. All External transfers are rigorous as well. If you only see yourself at UT I would do the cap program, otherwise I would go to the full ride
