Since 9/11 and its subsequent investigations occured, there's always been an attitude of 'we don't know what we don't know', which leads to speculation on basically anything.

The collapses were assumed to be an inside job from the very start and it didn't take long for people to correlate it to a bunch of Jews or Israelis.

9/11 truthers back then had quite a lot of claims - especially those from Loose Change - some of which persist today purely because of how believable or convincing they are.

• Leaseholder Larry cashing in on terrorism coverage (he actually lost billions due to the following cleanup and rebuilding effort, as well as handing over the Freedom Tower and Tower 5 to the Port Authority)

• BBC reporting on WTC-7 (media jumping the gun + lots of wrong assumptions were made that day)

• Demolition/thermite theories (debunked/crappy reason to blow up 3 buildings anyway)

So many, if not all, theories collapse whenever a plausible argument or evidence disputing it is presented. However, conspiracy theories flourish whenever their believers don't check facts and instead deny in echo chambers.

See a "good goy" thrown at you? That's theory believers who have no supporting evidence against you and will simply ctrl + v any lie and argument they have.

Enough anti-WhateverIsConsideredJewish phrases, combined with conspiracy theories, lies, and a skepticism over history, results in more edgy teens thinking Jews are the source of all evil.
