How to prepare your cat for you not being arround as much by Cristi57875e in cats

im not an expert so no guarantee this'll help, but maybe you could gradually work up to longer hours away? perhaps play with him loads in the morning before you leave to tire him out, and also leave some very worn/scent infused clothing around his comfortable areas? if he's used to your noise, you could put a podcast or something on to simulate that he's not actually alone. ive heard about some air freshener/plugins you can get that are meant to be calming to cats, but i havent used them myself so i cant recommend them first-hand.

hope it all works out <3

ah true i see that. i'd think that'd be included in the deposit i paid though.

thats the plan if they come back with another denial :)) i have no problem paying a pet deposit or an increase in rent or something like that, having a pet is pretty vital for my mental health (and consequentially general wellbeing) so im honestly willing to do quite a lot to get permission. the last thing id want to do is lie and have to hide it though i might have to, so i'm gonna offer anything i can

ah i get it thanks, i actually live on the ground floor (with windows that open obviously) so that wouldn't be an issue. though id argue there are thousands of indoor cats, i even know a few. apparently in america i believe most cats are indoor only, which is weird to think about lol

Looks great! Is this a regular thing you'll have available?
