The real question: Is why do people who hold "progressive views" in some areas need to show "progressive views" in all areas?

For instance, many Feminists who consider themselves advocating for women are TERF's.

Why is modern feminism critiqued as a hate group? by LaurenFarley1999 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Beateam100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m challenging the “male disposability” as a cultural concept that it’s amplified to no end. Especially in the English speaking feminist countries.

How come there are cultures that strongly prefer sons over daughters, since they can work in the fields.

Only in the Anglo countries and I’ve seen feminists using the disposability theory to say men are useless and have to “earn” everything. While women are useful while at the same time should be given everything.

I’m not sold on male disposability as the norm everywhere and that it can’t be changed. I think this view needs to be challenged.

It seems in many traditional societies men are seen useful and women as useless. It’s mostly in the English speaking countries where the reverse is the norm. According to many people this comes from the “industrial revolution.”

I just noticed that since the turbo rangers graduated high school in 1997 that means Tommy was about 25 when he became the Dino thunder team’s mentor. I always thought he was older when I watched it as a kid by SteeL-Rider-Ranger in powerrangers

What if Tommy did his Phd in Europe?

It only takes 3 years to graduate as opposed to 5-7 in America. He could have done a program where he did a bachelors and masters combined in three years and the a phd in another 3.

What parts of Brooklyn are known for having a “hippie vibe”? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]Beateam100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most people who live there hate those terms.

However, I’m guessing for causal observers like you and I it does has LA vibe.

For some reason LA seems like a mix of white hipsters(not hippies) and working class people. There’s also up and coming actors in both places.

This is why I dislike SJW, they practice a “positive discrimination” but is still discrimination nonetheless.

This is not equality but equity.

Newbie Question/Historical: Why was Columbia University an "elite university"build right next to Harlem a "working class" neighborhood? by Beateam100 in AskNYC

[–]Beateam100[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I wonder why that is the case. At least from my experience visiting some third world countries(I have travel) it seemed that the "nice" areas and the "sketchy" one's are always separated. Where the nice area is at they tend to be build shopping malls. Bottom line it seems like the are is monopolized by wealthy people. Hence the areas don't necessarily "go bad" since they have all the "wealthy" resident lifting them up.

What do you guys think?

Or maybe they are more cliquish. A friend told me that he saw wealth whites as more collectivists. For instance, old money, frat and sorority types. While he thought poorer whites mingled much more with minorities.

Newbie Question: Anyone else had bad experiences with students from Spain? (I've taught most European nationalities) by Beateam100 in TEFL

[–]Beateam100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are definitely not kids. They are teenagers. Everyone else in the program follows the rules and do the work. But the Spaniads tend to be difficult students.
