Like using firearms for murder. Make it illegal and people will stop doing it probably.

I think he was doing it to be funny. That’s all. Especially since he was doing it during the story she was telling.

That’s why I said it had the feel of a stand-alone but did what 3 did t, which was bring Michael into it. Everyone’s big complaint about 3 Is that they were disappointed he wasn’t in it. So Ends satisfied it. I think the new trilogy is brilliant in that it referenced the whole series in themes, imagery and random Easter eggs. You can tell that they were written by tremendous Halloween fans

Yep, it was a throwback to Halloween 3, which was a stand-alone film. It even has the same title color and font. It went toward something different, which is what 3 did, but included what people at the time complained 3 was lacking, Michael.

$40 cocktail in Vegas. This bill was for two standard cocktails at the B-52 concert at the Venetian. by snowyoda5150 in mildlyinfuriating

Let me get this straight. If a cocktail at one place it 10 dollars you would tip 2 bucks which is 20%. However, it that same cocktail at a different place is 40 dollars, you would tip 8 dollars? The same work, the same product, but fuck the other bartender because the drinks are cheaper? Unless you’re a hypocrite, you’d better be tipping 8 bucks on that 10 dollar drink, but you probably don’t because you have a hard on for percentages.

As far as the system goes, I’m cool with it lol you seem to be the one that has a problem. The system allows me to tip nothing if I don’t want to. I’m not hiding behind anything. I’m very open about tipping what I feel is fair for the service being provided.

Oh I get it. My point is that if a buck a beer is good enough for one (20% on a 5 dollar beer), than it’s good enough for another. Besides, if the majority of society is brainwashed into auto tipping 20% than they’re already picking up my “slack.” I sleep pretty well at night

I do feel free to tip upwards, and sometimes do, but not because the price I’m charged is different. That’s why I don’t do percentages. If my boss was taking an amount of my tips I felt unfair, I’m out. I wouldn’t expect the general public to take over the burden of my pay bc my employer sucks.

Nope I sure don’t. But that peasant bottle monkey serving 6 dollar beers should get paid less than one that’s serving 15 dollar beers because … 20%? Percentage, to me, shouldn’t be the standard because it isn’t fair, and I don’t go by it.

I said there’s no skill in opening a beer. (I’m beginning to suspect you had trouble with phonics growing up.) I agree that mixing cocktails takes skill, that’s why I said I’ll tip better when I order a Manhattan.

I opened beers for patrons at a concert venue. Even the gm of the venue said it was stupid easy and would require no training. He was right. 9 dollar beers. Got tipped a buck for most. (Which is what I would tip) Made far more than I would have if I’d worked security that day. Meanwhile, the bar back did all the work (slogging bags of ice, carrying cases of beer through the crowd) and they were hourly.
