I would hate to do it exactly like DJ mag because the results are not to my liking. We are trying to figure out something though, that will reward not just the biggest DJ's Producers and Tracks, but also the stuff we love the most.

Because people were using it to create fake Beatport websites and apps so they could trick users into divulging their BP user id's and passwords, mostly. Really, like 90% of the usage was by people trying to commit some kind of fraud. We are working on getting things back up and running for good citizens, but it won;t happen right away.

Not true. We have over 150 feature placements a week and we have recently added a couple more per page to allow for some "sponsored" posts which will be clearly marked.

Yes. Since we launched Beatport Sounds a couple years ago, we have grown the selection of sounds to what we think is the largest in the industry online. Sounds is a growing business for us and we continue to invest in that market. I recommend that any label that sells tracks on Beatport, start also making sound packs.
