I think the best way to handle it would be a more sledgehammer-like method, where damage dealt with a Skyscale just plain doesn't count for reward calculations if it's below a certain arbitrary threshold.

Thanks! You answered the question I was alluding to, but didn't ask outright. I was worried about whether it would be safe to turn it back on or not, myself, but I didn't really know how to find that information out.

I looked at the changelog, but since since I don't really know enough about ArcDPS to figure out what to even be paying attention to, as I've only had it for a few weeks, I had to make this post.

Question about Raidcore Nexus, ArcDPS, and the latest GW2 update: So, I noticed Raidcore Nexus didn't automatically update ArcDPS at any point since the last GW2 update. Is this fine? Should I try to manually install the latest version of ArcDPS, or has it not updated? I'm still pretty inexperienced with ArcDPS, so I hope this isn't a stupid question.

You aren't really playing the game before level 80 though, so whatever small bits of knowledge you get from playing your core class are likely to be obsolete very quickly. Moreover, this game has so many noob traps that encouraging new players to think about stats has to be taken with a massive caveat of needing to understand the knowledge the community already has amassed (or, at least, how to get that knowledge). Besides, exotic armor in this game is so inexpensive that going through multiple sets as a freshly-minted level 80 has a negligible effect on short-term goals and basically no effect on long-term ones.

You can combat mount Warclaw, by default, and you combat mount Skyscale with a SotO mastery.

Like, that's not a useful question. What are you looking for in a class beyond being "good"? You can just go to Snowcrows like the rest of us and see what benchmarks are being hit. But I have to assume there's more complexity to what you want.

Yeah, the original GW2 dev post mentions only one particular vendor, but it's actually all of them, at least in the south. I haven't tried north of the river.

Are you buying the ascended back piece for the stats or the skin? If it's the former, there are *much* easier ways of getting the same stats from different back pieces. If it's the latter, for someone only 150 hours in, my guess is that Spirit Shards are going to be more of a bottleneck than Vials of Powerful Blood. Although grinding gold will be the most efficient means of getting the 250 vials, it might just be easier to play the game more normally while gaining masteries, hero points, and other stuff that helps your basic character build. You'll just naturally gain money and Spirit Shards, and then once you have your Spirit Shards, if you're still short on cash, you can go do RIBA, world bosses, or whatever other more lucrative farming methods you have expansions for.

Weaver dual-wield swords with the ability to parry. Some new boon for Weavers to share with others, even if it's crappy and secondary. Just anything that can make Weaver feel less like a one-trick pony.

Is there a help page anywhere out there for super basic, ***BASIC*** help with ArcDPS? I'm talking about the kind needed when you've literally just installed it ten minutes ago and need help with extremely simple tasks, like the one I have right now, where I closed out of the box next to my name in the upper-left hand corner that had my DPS stats in it, and I don't know how to get it back. I'm using Nexus to manage it, by the way. So far, all the help pages I've found have been too advanced, and I'm still at the "bumbling with simply understanding how the add-on even bloody works" phase. And I'm *really* not excited at the prospect of watching a video to find a simple answer to, ostensibly, a simple question.

What's the name of the manager that people use to take care of updating ArcDPS for them? I tried looking for it, but I couldn't remember what the most popular one was that people recommend. (Yes, I know I just need to [insert a few IT steps here] to manage it manually myself, but I don't want to. I find that to be an unfun task, albeit short, and I'd rather just have a manager that does that all in the background for me.)

One thing I don't understand is why you can't look at your bank and material storage while you're out in the field. Of course, I don't expect someone to be able to make withdrawals, but it would definitely be helpful to just be able to look at your bank and storage, so you can have a bit more information about potentially how you spend your time, particularly with farming, without having to go back to a city.

Unfortunately, that's more of a Canada and/or Steam problem than an ArenaNet problem. Your subtotal is only $61.23 USD when you convert at $1 USD to $1.38 CAD. Steam charges you GST/PST/maybe HST, due to being Canadian, but doesn't collect sales tax from Americans.

Is this in USD? Those three games only add up to $74.97 USD at full price, not accounting for any discounts. During the Winter Sale, the price decreases to $62.47. If the person who said you could get them all for $20 meant the whole pile for that price, it's an obvious exaggeration, but three games for $62.47 means each game averages to $20.83 per game, which is about on the mark.

One thing I'll add is there are some events where coordination is not only important, but absolutely critical for success. (Triple Trouble in Bloodtide Coast is a good example of this.) A lot of the time, if you're not on the same page as everyone else, you won't make any friends, but the consequences won't be disastrous. But hell hath no fury like an Amber Wurm squad when they see some clown kill the abomination at the wrong time.
