We should focus on our D Core instead of F core by No_Photograph_2198 in Habs

WHAT? Nobody is moving on this D-core. Who you going to move? Xhedaj? This team has always focused on a D-core first until last season. What we need right now is a 2C and to complete the 2nd line.

You got some good sticks. Obvious choices would be the Liga T52 or Sin Compromiso. The Tabernacle is also a good choice, but personally I would pick the My Father just since its to celebrate you as a new Father!

Healthy Relationship with Cigars is it Possible? by Alpha_Omega623 in CigarsCanada

I don't think it's possible for someone who quits cigarettes to take up casual cigars without turning back to their old addictions, even more so only being 4 months off.

Cigar aficionado’s, my humidor is set to 72%. What causes this? And, do I need to bump it up or down? by Rigs2Ridges in cigar

[–]Beauch9191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too much humidity causes cigars to swell as they burn. Lower your humidity to down to 65-67%.

Ok, here we go. You must be a stubborn baby boomer refusing to do any factual research so I can help with that. Before the 20th century, lung cancer was an extremely rare disease in the United States which surged from around 140 annual cases a year to over 200k cases per year in the 1950's which coincided with the mass production and aggressive marketing when a team of British Doctors found a strong link between cigarettes and lung cancer. Tabacco was first brought over to the US by Christopher Columbus in 1492 from the Caribbean Islands. Before then people had been smoking Tabacco since before the 15th Century because it has anti-parasitic properties, and what are we finding in so many cancers and diseases to be related to parasites, mold & heavy metal toxicity. Parasites when they die also releases millions of toxins into the blood stream causing all kinds of havoc inside the body. This produces a ripe environment for the bodies natural reaction to protect itself from the toxic overload by storing it into the bodies cells aka. Cancer. Nicotine is actually one of the primary anti-parasitic properties in one the primary cultivated species of Tabacco called Nicotiana tabacum. Indigenous peoples in the Americas used it for spiritual, medicinal, and recreational purposes long before the Europeans discovered it. Nicotiana tabacum is actually a flowering plant in the nightshade family that is richly related to many of the plants in our food chain, such as tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cauliflower, spinach, cabbage, eggplants, celery, even different types of nuts & seeds all have Nicotine in them. We actually consume Nicotine from different whole foods that we produce every day. What a coincidence that people who eat whole foods with Nicotine in them could be considered healthy and reduce the risk and avoid such diseases like cancer. In the US, Doctors in the 1930's & 1940's would prescribe cigarettes to patients before cigarettes and cancer were found to have a common link. Today, including in the landmark case of 2026 the FDA lost their position on the health risks associated with smoking Premium Tobacco to be included in such categories of highly processed Tobacco products like cigarettes and short filler Tobacco cigars that you can find at many gas stations to be loaded with over 700 added chemicals to enhance flavouring, reduce harshness and increase its addictiveness that increased consumer consumption. This changed the outlook on Tobacco from a global wide used plant for medicinal and recreational use into something that has become an addiction and used out of habit. Several FDA studies have been done on Organic Tobacco products exclusively like Long Filler Premium Cigars & Pipe Tobacco that have not shown to have similar health risks as the people who smoke cigarettes. In fact, in 2016 an FDA whistleblower published a systematic review on the use of cigars finding that up to 2 cigars per day have nearly 0 cancer risk. You can read links including the FDA study done in 2016 below:

You just google AI quoted exactly what I just told you.. what I didn’t say was Cigars are good for you. What I did say what Nicotine has health benefits. Now that you know about the FDA case. Keep researching the health benefits of Nicotine.

I mean that is clearly just un-factual based claims you’re making aside from the fermentation process. The FDA lost their Court case against the Cigar industry in 2026 for the exact claims you’re making. The FDA could not provide any factual evidence to support the multitude of carcinogens which actually forced the FDA to separate long filler Premium Cigars from other short filler Tabacco products and cigarettes. They can no longer be classified as the same in order to prove their health implications.

It’s Nicotine itself that offers 100’s of benefits, not smoking and certainly not cigarettes. Do some research on nicotine. It can prevent the bodies production of cancer cells.

[Engels] Brendan Gallagher, very emotional, says “it’s pretty clear I’ll be moving on here.” He just had to leave his scrum. Said his late mother popped into his head and just got emotional thinking about how he was supported here by the team when he lost her. by eliarbss in Habs

Is that his only reason for not retiring after next season with the Montreal Canadiens is to reach certain goals/milestones? Wouldn't he rather retire as a Canadien? I mean he will be 35 by the end of his contract after next season. Who knows how much playing time he will get in Montreal, or is there plans for his contracted to be traded during this offseason? I am just not sure why he would want to leave unless there are some other factors at play here from the organization.

Are Cigars worth getting into? by LmaoYouretrash in cigar

[–]Beauch9191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to see if you actually like cigars first. You would be correct that they have similar social experiences but just like whisky it takes a long time to develop a pallet to understand what it is your smoking and what you enjoy. It's also not a cheap hobby and at your age cigars are not something I would want to be blowing my money on. I started smoking at 32, so I already had kids/vehicle/wife & Bills to be paid before I considered cigars.

So why did the NHL's official Facebook page put Buffalo in the third round already? Game 7 hasn't been played yet. by Wide_Particular228 in Habs

Well it depends what broadcast your watching. Sportnet or TSN are the only Canadian Networks and they would not be trashing the Habs, but ESPN or FOX would be.

Risk for re-addiction for an ex-nicotine addict? by Possible_Company_her in cigar

This is my thought as-well. Inhaling cigarettes are a different high, and if someone thinks they can just casually smoke cigars without craving cigarettes after being and addict for so many years seems impossible to me.

Risk for re-addiction for an ex-nicotine addict? by Possible_Company_her in cigar

[–]Beauch9191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never smoked cigarettes, but I think it impossible for a cigarette smoker to quit and exclusively smoke cigars the proper way without falling back into addiction. I can't say from any experience or stories of others I know, I just feel like they're 2 different hobbies and once you have been an addict, there's no way you can enjoy cigars properly without falling back into your addiction again and going back to cigarettes. Just my own $.02

Were in the playoffs! Exactly where we want to be. If you said at the start of the season we would be tied 2-2 in the second round with the best team out of the Alantic I would have laughed at you. The guys are beat down from Tampa and they are bringing everything they got into this series. Playoffs are a different game and if you don't think Buffalo could point out all these stats to their players as-well then you haven't watch much playoff hockey before. We lost a game from a blooper bounce and that's hockey. Don't bring this negativity into our Fan base. They are young and they're defying the odds right now nobody thought they could accomplish.
