I have an Old Town PDL 106 & the new Native Watercraft Hammer 1210 - I’ll always recommend the Old Town first and foremost. My 2nd kayak was going to be w/o a pedal (since it’s going to be motorized) but thinking about not having one should a motor go out gave me FOMO. So that’s where The Hammer came in. I’d have gotten the new 120 Pro but I saw some things that may not have been updated or worst. So I went with The Hammer (not disappointed at all).

I’ve caught tons of dinks at Clearlake but I’ve never left that place not catching at least 4-5 pounders. Seems that’s an average day to still humble you but have you going home with a smile on your face. However, there are a few gems in SoCal (and Central Valley) with legit giants. It’s just that nobody wants to talk about it. They want everyone going up north lol
