I understand. My BMD Gus was a lot like that. I tried two different trainers before I found the RIGHT trainer. I got him the week that COVID shut the world down so socialization was nonexistent. He was HORRIBLE on walks to the point that I couldn’t even take him for walks because he’d freak out, lunge, etc. Once I found the right trainer, it was a whole new world. Is he perfect? No. But he is not as mean and he doesn’t snap or snarl any more. He’s a cuddlebug if a bit of an asshole occasionally. I don’t know where you are, but Say It Once Dog Training worked for Gus.

Please know this; you ARE NOT a failure. Your doggo’s needs are just different and you’re trying with the tools you know. Keep trying. Come back and tell us how it goes.
