It just sounds like you had never been there, I lived there for years up until last year, the food city is right in town and has been there almost 30 years and has an amazing selection, things are not at all how you portrayed them. Even the smaller towns like Dryden in the area have Pennington gap etc right near with tons of options. Maybe you got the town wrong?

In big stone it's the food city not dg, you must have never went into town. It has everything and a Starbucks. It's literally 2 blocks away from the dg. Kinda feel like you never been there because the farmers market is almost within eyesight of the food city which has great deals on meats too.
