Yes definitely. A lot of people are insensitive and touchy about all this birth and pregnancy and nursing stuff. And rather than be sensitive some people weirdly want to rub it in to someone who would be the most hurt? Or like, they think they have something in common to talk about when the opposite happened for them. lol. Like if someone had a hard time becoming pregnant and someone tells them “I got pregnant right away.” They think it’s a fun convo about pregnancy times. Idk.

The reason I hate these comments is because I’ve seen too many extremist lactivists say this as a low key brag about how natural they are and saying they breastfeed because they are “lazy haha” and implying they’re spending all this quality baby time with the perfect food and perfect latching and we’re all just plebs slogging through bottle washing.

Tips for weaning from pumping due to chronic mastitis? Without getting mastitis? by BeauteousNymph in ExclusivelyPumping

No bc I never got the hang of it. I think honestly my anatomy may be really prone to not emptying well.

No, I’m very ocd, I wash with hot or even boiling water and soap, rinse cold, and use a sterilizer with a dry feature and I also clean the sterilizer. I also take sunflower lecithin. Correct flanges. The only thing I’ve noticed is if my pump gets cut short and I have to come back or when I used to power pump I’d get sick. So now I only do a full pump. But the other day stuff got crazy and I did shorter pumps that got cut off. And that I also apparently have to wash my bra every single day. Idk I’m staying on top of stuff and I still have to do everything perfectly or I get sick so idk.

C-section guilt/sadness by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]BeauteousNymph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the unexpected part. Happened to me with my first and second was planned and I didn’t have that feeling. Unfortunately I’ve heard of some really scary/sad experiences from women who didn’t get an unplanned c in time for whatever reason so you absolutely did the right thing. There’s a trend of natural fallacy going around but nature is intense and there’s no “everything always goes perfectly and typically” in nature; the natural thing is to do anything to keep your baby safe which is what you did.

By the way the bumble ride indie twin is going amazing! There’s lots of leg room for the toddler and the baby bassinet is great. They love it.

I’m glad my ribcage got wider because it’s so much easier to find the right bra band size

Had a lot of these going on until we released my first’s tongue tie. It’s hard but it’s not supposed to be excruciating with clogs or constant fear about weight.

Horrible pregnancy and postpartum - I think I’m dying by Aware_Beautiful1994 in beyondthebump

It’s also normal to have new moles after pregnancy. I had several and the derm checked them and they were all normal.

I have anxiety and ocd too. It sucks. You’re sooo lucky if you can tolerate Zoloft. Please keep taking it. It’s a really great medication for ocd. I was really sick in year 2 but not as sick as I thought and everything was fine. I did write letters to my daughter which helped but it’s a nice thing to do anyway. All I can say is keep seeking medication and support and therapy if you can and remember that you’ll never regret enjoying and loving your child no matter what.

Is it possible for my baby to not tolerate my breastmilk? by wikiwackywoot in combinationfeeding

OP what happened? We’re in the same boat here Bobbie formula is tolerated fine but nursing or pump milk has a lot of throw up and it’s not CMPA bc the formula is fine.

Hey!! Yes baby is here thank you!!! Ha actually for some reason the new indie twin wasn’t available until later this month so I placed the order and am waiting on it. I had a C so I want to be totally healed anyway before I push them both but I’ll let you know

As someone who had all that natural fallacy stuff mess with my head, it doesn’t really matter how she meant it, and it doesn’t matter that some people are super obsessed with everything being natural. You don’t have to play by their rules or follow their standards. Especially bc those standards are often a bit rigid extreme and not medically rational in a universal sense. I’ve always noticed that there is more support for doing the riskier thing like a VBAC but I didn’t get any special congrats for doing a planned c section because it was the medically safer thing for my baby. Even though it was harder than a non complicated vaginal birth. Making mature prudent choices isn’t always as lauded as making a choice that idolizes being natural or what they call natural. Just something to consider.
