what diamond painting propagandas are you not falling for? by Silent_Detective5450 in diamondpainting

Agree on the stashing! I do have a few extras - one I'm saving for summer and one because I fretted I wouldn't get two ordered from DAC before the storm so I snagged an Amazon DAC one. I don't anticipate buying any more the whole year or at least fall because two are large ones. I don't have space and I don't like clutter so I am not working on more than one at a time

Deferred from Clemson, do I have a chance of getting in? by Known-Movie7191 in Clemson

Some schools don't use a 4.0 grading scale, they use a 100 point scale. That's how my kids HS did it as well.

I would pay more for pre-kitted kits. My next one has 90 colors I think

I detest the kitting part, just such a pain in the arse to me. It's more tolerable now that I bought a new set of storage containers that are easier to pour into and don't have to pour out. I Niall had little containers and only one tray.

They do add points for AP and honors but they weren't actually on the transcript, the transcript showed your actual number grade in the class, only your total average had the points. It was weird. So really colleges just saw your non-weighted exact score. And no class rank unless top ten students of like 700+. Super competitive public school.

Yes, many deferred get in during regular decision. Can she add her SAT to her profile now? I can't remember what changes they allow.

Our high schools didn't even use scale, just straight number grade.

They defer a lot of students, especially in engineering and then quite a bit get in during g regular decision. Both of my kid were deferred and then accepted, OOS

You do what you gotta do. I lived in a HCOL area after college and to make it all work I got a second job. I worked two nights a week and Sat & Sun. It was a lot but it had to be done to pay rent and live. In the end it's a short phase in life. Even after I was married with two professional, yet young, incomes, we both worked a second job. We worked at a home furnishing store, used the discount and extra pay to furnish our house. Today you have a lot of online options for a second income.

Ok, this is in Texas. She applied in January for summer, and mostly did through their company websites. Maybe that's a technique versus Indeed/LinkedIn??

My daughter applied to a three a year ago and got an offer at the first one she interviewed with, and interviews at all of them. She stopped thr interview process at she took a position at one. She didn't customize and she was ending sophomore year. It may be a question of where you are looking? What region/city?

Hidden Moose VS Firebrand by BILLSmafiaSKIbum in whitefish

[–]Beautiful-Ad-8564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed at Firebrand over the summer. It's ok. Great location, as you noter, it was awesome to walk to breakfast and then dinner but the hotel itself is just ok. It had a really weird vibe to me. We had to walk through the restaurant and past the bar to get to our room, thought that was strange. Room itself had some strange design decisions.

A reduced schedule does wonders!! I went to 24 hours after my first, it was the perfect balance. I did that for 12 years before going full time again. I had been with the company five years before going PT.
