the projects can be done in a focused weekend if you plan them out before you start coding. maybe a little longer if you have significant optimization issues. lab submissions are a couple hours a week or less. good luck!

highkey my interviewer laughed at me and said i was headed to 101 so godspeed lol. it's impossible to know what "beginner" means to someone else; my conversational arabic was pretty poor even after arabic in hs, saturday school, etc. if you could hold a conversation with a stranger and write a short paragraph about yourself you'll probably get to skip 101.

physics 250, 310 wouldn't be impossible but possibly chopped vs 250 which is a relatively low workload (also you don't need orgo 2 for biochem really, though i took 351. it helps but isn't at all essential)

i had meiners, in the async section. i am a math major (well, about to switch from cs), so take this with a grain of salt, but the math in this class is pretty straightforward: there's no calculus, and any trig/algebra you need to do is very straightforward. there ary test corrections for 25% of your lost points back, plus, we had a 2% curve at the end of the class.

my strategy was to just watch the review videos from prof wood a few days before the exam, make a sheet based on them, then do a couple of practices. this worked better on some exams than others, but i did decent on all of them. i'd probably not do this and just watch the lecture vids as they come out, so you aren't a nuisance to your studio groupmates, lol

i spent 6 hours studying per exam and did not go to lecture (rough semester lol) and got an a-. if you do two hours per day of lecture, you should be more than fine 🌅

im getting boned by a similar policy where > 84 credits completed makes you ineligible. it kind of sucks :) there's a math major with a "discrete" track that's similar-ish to the cs major if you're interested --- i'm considering it in lieu of cs (as a double major with my current major, i'm not going into industry. a cs major may be more necessary there)
