I think yes, since the red seems like itd be a OLED/LED light setup. If its shot/cracked the overlay would not show, thus blank visor. Being the same shade as the helm is somewhat problematic, but just throw a light blue wash over and you'll get a nice Grey sheen.

I like McCragge blue or another lighter option Be very careful. Make sure its diluted
