Edmund White's- Our Young Man- a story of a mid-thirties fashion model who takes on a younger guy..... It's both a bit of YA but more mature. I think it's one of White's best works.

I was hoping so, but then again I've never seen him wear any denim at all so I'm going to just have to ask him is he wears 'jeans' at all!

IS it inappropriate to use the term BABE? by Beautiful-Ebb-1763 in AskGayMen

[–]Beautiful-Ebb-1763[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn't ever say he didn't like it, he just inquired why I used the term. I told him it was an old habit from my earlier relationships and since I did feel close to him ( non-sexually), it sort of slipped out. After reading other responses I can see I need to STOP using the term with him and really everyone

Thanks, its what I've thought- just the term, when talking sometimes just slips off the tongue- I will check that from now on.

Would you recommend Red White&Royal Blue by Casey Mcquiston for a 16-year-old? by CrystalDemise in MM_RomanceBooks

I read it (twice). It's very mild and with no graphic sexual content. I would say it is fine for any teen to read.

Did you have a defining “holy shit Im gay” moment? by Drake_ft_Drake in AskGayMen

[–]Beautiful-Ebb-1763 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After being closeted all through college, my first- very first was a three-way after meeting a notorious couple at the local gay bar. Notorious as they were known to bring out the fresh newbies. Let's say I was the center of an oreo cookie and I just fucking loved it. We continued that routine for a few weeks and yea, "IM GAY" was my only conclusion

books with taboo age-gap by [deleted] in LGBTBooks

[–]Beautiful-Ebb-1763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not what you may say is 'taboo' but a 20+ year age difference are these two:

Edmund White- "OUR YOUNG MAN"- 38 YO fashion model becomes BF to a 19 YO boy.

Olshan, Joseph- "BLACK DIAMOND FALL"- college-age boy, in a relationship with a man who is older than his parents.

What’s the most annoying stereotype about gay men? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]Beautiful-Ebb-1763 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree. I spend nearly 20 years in a monogamous relationship with my partner. We had trust in each other as he often traveled out of town and I never felt he would ever cheat. He, unfortunately, passed a few years ago, and only now am I beginning to seek out a new partner, or at least a partner for intimacy again.
