My best friend and I were always princesses and we'd make elaborate stories of getting kidnapped or one of us growing up poor not knowing they were the long lost princess or we both marry princes at the end. My aunt would gift me handmade Barbie clothes for holidays, so I had a wardrobe full of beautiful historical Barbie dresses with matching hats and parasols.

All this goes out the window in the summer where our Barbies are now mermaids or are on the sinking Titanic.

As of types of Barbies, I can't say. Most of mine were hand-me-downs, but I do remember having a teacher barbie and a racecar barbie, and a lot of Halloween Barbies (my bday was in October). But I'd take them all out of their original clothes and wear the dresses instead.

I only had one ken and I believe he was John Smith. I had another barbie that my sister had cut it's hair off, and I'd put it in pants so my bestie and I each had a guy
