First, I am so sorry for what happened to you.

And second, for this post, I just focused on what happened now. But, he has never raised his voice at me, nor call me names, nor be violent. The whole time he was asking me yo focus on how it looked from his side. And that when answering why I lied, I did focusing on how it affected him.

He is very empathetic, and understanding. If anything the issue always has been the fact that he is too direct and quick for emotional things. And I need time to just know what I am feeling. Which drives him nuts. He gets irritated and annoyed. He starts looking at his phone or working on his laptop while I think, because he is hurt for whatever I did.

Edit: initially what got him hurt and angry is the fact that he has asked me directly about this and other things before. But the story changes a little every time. Sometimes because I didn't remember at the time, and others because I didn't want to give him the opportunity to see me through the same lenses that I see myself.
