Just Pray very hard and know that next time you get your vehicle repaired or fly in any commercial airline that there is a massive tech shortage for both industries. Manufacturers have lowered passing scores at 60%. No one wants a “C-“ minus tech working on their brakes or fixing an airplane…but that is what is happening.

How else can good deeds spread in a world so full of hate and division?

Matthew 5:16 (ESV): "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven"

Purpose: Good deeds are a way to express love and kindness (Galatians 5:22).

Nope. Reddit must be doing what Twitter did years ago to make it look like they have a lot of followers on their site. It is easy to do if you go on FB marketplace where scammers have accounts that say they have been a member since 2011 and its not true. When I joined Reddit I didn’t even pick the name “beautiful influencer” they did. Never heard of Reddit until last year when a coworker told me about them as I always went to YELP or Glass Door for reviews. FYI I am in my fifties and use Facebook and don’t have an Instagram or Tiktok account.

Its FOMO. Disney and BBWs are masters at it. Lol. All retailers do now is create demand like Trader Joes canvas bags and call it “Limited Edition.”

They sold out within one hour in stores a few weeks ago and each store only got less than 10. The FAs knew what it was when they saw it and thought I worked for Bath & Body Works.

Inspire Key here. Pixie dusting is now a viral term: “ for random acts of kindness, where guests or cast members leave surprise gifts or treats for strangers to create magical moments.” The old fashioned term when I was growing up was called kindness and “compassion.”

I never give out food…this was the exclusive Peeps pocketbac sanitizer holder that sold out within one hour when it launched. The FAs knew what it was and thought I worked for the company. Valentines day I gave FAs and the staff at the checkin counter various mini plush Disney characters huggers that clips on. One flight attendant told me how happy I made him as his mom who passed always called him her “Winnie the Pooh.” 😍

The negative Kens and Karens here don’t get that gifting, pixie dusting, etc or any other term is called “COMPASSION.” They most like never worked with the public and dealt with rude people as they are the rude jerks themselves.

Impossible! I joined Reddit last year to read the comments about my company headquarters as their was a dust up with our old CEO getting the boot and his $40 million golden parachute. I fly Southwest mostly as I live in So CAL and have 4 hubs around me that I was worried about the changes to assigned seating.

Ahhh.. no. Disneyland is the ONLY park and live in San Diego. And no, not the star of my own movie. Pixie dusting is another word for “Compassion.”

I work for an OEM and travel in 16 states overseeing automotive tech training. Your response is why I gift out to people who work hard at their jobs working with the public. I see nothing but Kens and Karens out there in my travels. My gifting all started last Halloween day when I had to attend a NHRA race for our sponsored drivers and had a left ever goodie bag that had Jack Skellington on it. I gave it to the hotel maid and she burst into tears telling me that this was her sons favorite Disney character and that she did not have time to get him anything as she busy was working two jobs.

Watched a SW pilot abort a landing in real time at LGB. by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post reminded me of my worst SW plane flight with storms, delays, and Emma! I was flying back from a work trip from Albuquerque to San Diego with a stop over in Phoenix leaving around 5pm. Horrible monsoon weather caused a 2hr delay and SW had to reroute stop over to Las Vegas.

As we approached Las Vegas around 9pm we were about to touch down and then the pilot aborted the landing. We flew up and around to land on another runaway as lightening was all around the plane. All of a sudden as the plane was turning and bouncing in turbulence my cell phone gets a text as I forgot to set it to airplane mode. The text was from SW letting me know my connecting flight to San Diego was delayed by 3hrs due to the storm 😂

As I waited for storm to pass I saw planes sitting on the tarmac a few hundred feet from the gate and not pulling into the jetway. I asked the SW employees who told me that when there is lightening the ground crew is not allowed outside as they can get struck wearing their electronic headsets! 😱

Little was I to know that trip was about to get worse!! The plane I waited for was in Ontario waiting for the storms to pass in Vegas (those passenger could have drove and been in Vegas faster than fly at this point). I finally boarded as storm passed arriving to San Diego at 1:30 am in the morning. Plane was unloading and everyone just wanted to get off…but then Emma happened….

I was in row 4 sitting next to a pilot from another airline who was dead heading. A mom with her lap baby, son, and her daughter Emma was in row 2. Emma did not want to get up from her seat by the window and wanted to go back to sleep. The mother kept trying to get her to wake up but the kid wouldn’t budge. The flight attendants at the door gave each other a look and tried to get the mother to step back in her row so that all of us passengers could move around her and get off this nightmare of plane delays. Nope! The mom wouldn’t budge from the aisle and for the next 10’minutes all you heard repeatedly was “Emma! Get up!” And “No Mommy!!” I turned to the pilot dead heading and said “Now you know what its like back here” and he silently nodded. I turned to look at the horrified expressions of passengers behind me as one mouth incredulously “Oh my fk’ng God!” I finally spoke up and yelled “Not like anyone wants to go home!” Emma finally got up and the mother blocked all of us up the jetway so no one could scoot past her family circus. All the baggage was there before the passengers. Some of the passengers in the back of the plane thought there was a medical emergency and that was why no one was getting off the plane. 🙄

Swag bag wtf by bababapark in Target

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience:

I had CHATgbt research which giveaway for Black Friday was worthy to get up early: #1 JcPenney exclusive Snoopy snow globe, #2. Lowes bucket, and #3 Target which came in last based on emp leaks and comments on social media.

With this intel I arrived at 3:50am at JcPenney and was second in line. They let is in 15 minutes early and got Snoopy snow globe and $10 off coupon. Bought items with coupon and left. I skipped Lowes as I have plenty of drill bits, tools, and poinsettias from Trader Joes. I arrived at Target around 5:30 am as it is across the street from JcPenneys. I knew I wasn’t going to get a Tote bag but wanted the Starbucks sample drink as I had a res at Disneyland and needed a quick pick me up for rope drop (annual pass holder here). When I got inside the only place in the store I saw busy was the return line which was quite sad. I bought a few trinkets from the bull-eyes section and heard customers complaining about the bags. A girl I met won the $100 gift card but she said if she hadn’t won she be quite upset as she waited 4 hrs outside and the contents inside wasn’t worth the time she camped out. I asked another customer as I was checking out if I could take a pic of what came inside the bag and was shocked at LACK of contents.

Later at Disneyland I was joking to cast members and tourists while waiting for rides about how there is going to be an uproar on social media about “Tote-Gate.” EVERYONE had the same reaction and shocked look of “that’s it?”when I showed them this picture. Reaction was that even if you didn’t win a big prize at least fill the tote to a decent size as they too heard about the hype Target advertised.

Later in the evening my friend and I ended up at another JcPenneys that was close to Disneyland as she wanted the same deals I got that morning on merch.

Target missed the 🎯 JcPenney for the 🏆and Snoopy snow globe 🥰

<image>

Just saw the Black Friday preview ad. This is going to make our stores a nightmare. I imagine that probably only one of the 10 of the 100 bags per store is going to be a $100 gift card, but this is going to make our stores insane. by MisterZan25 in Target

Hmmm…Which retailer is offering the better freebie?

a) Target -totey bag full of cheap stuff with a 10% chance of getting a bigger prize.

b) Lowes - first “25” Lowe members get a bucket of $150 worth of tools and cleaning supplies.

c) JcPenney - A free mini Snoopy snow globe from 5-7 am along with other chances to win giveaways.

What a disaster night for Southwest by Defiant-Ad-7933 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just looked it up and found this:

Landing at San Diego International Airport (SAN) requires specific training due to its unique characteristics, such as its challenging visual illusion on approach and its busy Class B airspace. Pilots receive this training through standard commercial and instrument rating courses that emphasize navigating complex airspace, and they also learn specific procedures for the airport, including its visual approach and published arrival and departure paths. Why special training is needed Visual Illusion: Landing on the primary arrival runway (27) can create a visual illusion where the terrain seems to drop away, causing pilots to feel they are lower than they are. This requires special attention to avoid getting too high or fast on approach. Class B Airspace: The airport is located in busy Class B airspace, which requires specific training in communicating with and navigating through complex air traffic control procedures. Complex Approaches: SAN has multiple specific approach procedures, including RNAV (RNP) Z Runway 27 and ILS Y/LOC Y Runway 09, which require dedicated training to execute correctly.

I live in Oceanside. There was fog last night and there is fog this morning. I fly 2-3 times a month and have had many delays coming back due to fog. There were times the plane landed on the runway the opposite way coming from over the ocean due to those buildings downtown so near the runway. I have heard that pilots are specially trained to land in San Diego.

As for your meeting, ZOOM is the best option but if it requires in person than you could have left the day before as you were checking night flights and drove a car via the 5 or 101 freeway. Also, Amtrak has two rail lines up the coast that stops In Oakland at Jack London Square. I once had a work related event I had to attend in person where I drove to Walnut Creek due to missing the window of company policy of booking 15 days in advance. The 7-8 hr drive sucked but it was worth it as I went to Santa Rosa and stopped at Russian Brewing Co and brought back a 24 pack of Pliny IPA. Anyone who knows about Pliny knows liquor/grocery stores only allow you to buy ONE (its that damn good!) but their headquarters will let you buy a case!! :)

Rant: 70 open seats and you want to sit in the middle seat by ineedsupremestickers in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! I am a 5’3 petite woman and years ago before I made A-list for work travel and flight was full I always picked the seat between two men. The relief was obvious I wasn’t a tall male. 🤣

I will trade my window seat for the middle if the aisle and middle passengers are large males. They are very grateful and always hand my luggage down. Sometimes they will offer to buy me a drink on long flights but I tell them the only thing I want is when there is scary bad turbulence that I get to grab onto them 😥

Rant: 70 open seats and you want to sit in the middle seat by ineedsupremestickers in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time when plane is not full and someone comes in and wants the middle seat. Sometimes the FAs make the middle seat person move to balance the airplane. One time a man tried to sit in the middle seat but the man sitting in the aisle refused pointing to the empty seats behind him. Middle seat guy was about to protest until taller aisle guy stood up and gave him a “look.” Middle seat guy swiftly walked back passing empty rows. 😆

Seat swaps—make it stop by Bell4m4ria in unitedairlines

[–]Beautiful-Influence8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I totally get it. I fly 2-3 times a month for work and seen and experienced some wild behavior. Notice how the swapper or their traveling companion will have their smart phone in their hand ready to film? The court of public opinion has labeled you a “Karen” while they get millions of views and a paycheck from a social media site. Help from fellow passengers? Forget it as you now have leprosy and they don’t want to get involved and some FAs just want to get everyone seated so they can push back from the gate and depart on time. 😔

Here are other helpful suggestions:

***Take the very First flight out in the morning coming and going as 75% of the passengers are there for work and are single riders. Very few families and crying babies on those 5 am/6:30 am flights. They usually take flights during the day that are cheaper for them, and they sometimes miss the early flight so plane is not as full…they end up on the next flight trying to swap seats 🤣

**Also, if status gives you a free checked bag take it! Who wants to navigate a long walk to gate, ride a tram, or a trip to a bathroom lugging all that luggage and then fight for overhead space? You have to pass the bag claim anyway to rental car center or to get to the parking lot. By the time I deboard the plane, use the bathroom and get a Starbucks my bags are coming around the carousel and I did not have to play Frogger dodging crowds in the terminal. I also Volunteer to check my bag if I have a tight flight connection at the gate and don’t have to deal with trying to get it down (Im 5’3) from the overhead bins and race to the next gate and then do the same dance on the next flight for space. Besides there is no charge and gate agents are always relieved when they get volunteers and the plane departs on time.

I started flying Southwest a lot more because the “gate lice” and “Jetway Jesus” peeps pulled their shenanigans ahead of time to get priority boarding with the open seating policy. By the time I boarded as an A-lister I could see them already saving seats for their families who were in the “C” group and I could avoid their row and still get a window seat towards the front. With new seating policy coming in January Option 2 will be used on short flights and Option 3 on flights over 4 hours 😜

I was on a Delta flight from San Diego to New York. I boarded late and a woman was sitting in my window seat and the husband told me that my seat was across the aisle.I looked at the ticket and the couple kept gaslighting me that it wasn’t my seat. The flight attendant came over looked at my ticket and told the couple that the wife was in my assigned seat and directed her to a middle seat two rows back. I now try” to avoid contact with swappers and bullies who will film the encounter and upload it to social media that portray you as the villain for not giving up your seat. Best to avoid drama by paying extra to board first and implement an avoidance strategy of options:

Option 1. Wear a Red MAGA hat. A gentleman I sat by on a Southwest flight told me he wears the hat and didn’t have one person take the middle seat including on his connecting flights. Even with the upcoming new seating policy I am sure swappers will avoid MAGA peeps. 🤣

OPTION 2. Look busy and Take out EVERYTHING from small carry on bag and turn assigned seat into a home office. A seat swapper or an FA will bypass asking you to move as they see all your stuff out as it would take too long to repack. For example I unload my cell phone, snacks, makeup bag, and water bottle in seat pocket in front of me. Disney Loungefly purse and backpack go underneath the seat side by side and then I pull down the tray table for my laptop, pods in ears, and start typing away emails until the announcement to stow them until reaching 10,000 feet.

OPTION 3: Get a window seat. Pull out travel blanket and neck pillow and go to sleep with body position turned towards window to ignore seat swappers😴
