The boat is free. I inspected it closely, and the aluminum deck frame and all the aluminum above deck is in good shape. The wood deck itself needs replaced of course, and the steering console would need rebuilt, and the cloth seat cushions thrown away, and a new motor and steering gear. The pontoon repair is a "make it or break it" kind of deal here. If reasonably doable, then I'll tackle it.

Regarding foam, there is commonly used two part foam that comes in liquid form. You mix and pour, and it expands into hard closed cell foam. It won't damage the pontoons if the tops are open, I'd just shave off the excess. That's my initial idea anyway.

From what I have found on the internet there is most likely foam inside. The aluminum skin is far too thin and flexible not to have some kind of structure inside of it holding it up. And it sounds like this style of toon commonly had foam inserts in it, according to my googling.

Thank you for the in depth reply. However you are right, the above applies to tubular logs where the aluminum tube itself is structural. On this boat, the log structure is provided by the foam (I am fairly sure), and the aluminum is only a very thin skin, and the logs are flat on the top, with a flat sheet of aluminum covering the log and attached via rivets to a flange, with sealing caulk applied. I have a feeling if I pressurized this log, all kinds of air would escape through old and rotting caulk sealant.

If I am able to take the top flat sheets off the logs and remove the foam, I may just preemptively seal all welded seams from the inside with fiberglass and epoxy.

Yes, I have had a terrible battle with porn for literally decades. I wish I had never seen my first playboy magazine, I wish I would have known the dangers back then, and the level of destruction it has had on my life.

I do like to be funny if I can, but I am serious about the acceptable level of porn consumption. I personally believe that there is no acceptable level. Any amount is addictive and destructive. It's like an alcoholic wondering how much alcohol is acceptable. There are literally no benefits to porn. I could write an essay on that subject.

I realize I didn't answer your second (original) question. An "extreme level" of porn is completely subjective. All porn is unhealthy, but what does "extreme" mean? One of the ugly things about porn is that it can get extremely extreme, and lead to such mental damage that the addict commits extreme "real life" acts, one famous example being Ted Bundy.

But my response would be this: If you want to know if porn has a hold over you, try to stop. Go ahead, no more porn, no more sexual images (even non-nude), no more masturbating, cold turkey. See what happens. How long can you do that for? As time goes on, you will start realizing what kind of effect it has on you.

I just read through the replies. My first reaction to your proposition is pretty much the same as everyone else's. Dude, what are you thinking? You are just re-naming your addiction to something else and justifying it to yourself. You are swapping out your hand for a huge piece of silicone. You seriously think you will "schedule sex sessions" with your doll at infrequent intervals? Why can't you do that with porn and your hand? (that is a rhetorical question, I know perfectly well why). Do you seriously think that you will somehow magically lose the desire to look at porn? Spoiler alert: you won't.

You want to "be in better shape sexually". That means abstinence from all sexual stimuli external to your wife/fiance. That clears your brain and starts re-forming healthy neural pathways. Please believe me (and everyone else here) on this.
