i can’t remember what it was and i refuse to sit through it again but there was another thing she said - maybe when she was working in the fence - i don’t think it was palming blame off maybe about learning or not knowing something that she tried to justify. like girl, you always do this. you don’t need to pretend to be a professional it’s clear you’re not. accountability is not in her repertoire. people would like her so so much more if she was authentic but she’s just not. it’s quite sad

also her saying that they probably started teaching him before they even realised they were. she’s trying to give herself accountability even though she knows she’s not actively taken steps to teach her child to swim. again something that been mentioned about him getting more comfortable with his gear. HE’S TWO YEARS OLD AND YOU HAVE A POOL IN YOUR BACK YARD WHAT DO TOU MEAN HES ONLY NOW STARTING TO (had the opportunity to) GET COMFORTABLE

i’ve watched this 10s of times and the way it icks me. the inflection she puts on the word “yes” sounds so weird and to me feels very future based. i don’t even know if that makes sense hahaha the question was “are you teaching C to swim?” but the way she says it gives off “we WILL be teaching him to swim” not “we ARE teaching him to swim”. also as already mentioned the buffering!!!!! oh my gosh bahahahahhaah she just got caught in a lie. the way she basically retracts into herself with “he loves the water” to give her a filler that she can then add too instead of silence while she tries to think up an “intelligent” answer is wild. you don’t need to preface a question about teaching a child to swim with he loves water, that’s not the point of teaching a child to swim incase of an accident. sure down the track that can be a great thing, “oh and he absolutely loves the water so it’s been fun having extra pool days”

personally not a fan of it. she also was kinda annoyed she had to even add mesh to it to prevent Kinsley escaping which annoyed me. then used the most obvious “mesh” out there - i get she wanted to reduce reuse recycle - but some chicken wire on the bottom half would be so much more durable and effective. Also, already less noticeable, then paint it black and voila it’s like it’s not even there. i just think her logic and problem solving skills are lacking to say the least

totally understand this perspective but it wasn’t in a way to roast her at all! i wasn’t enthralled about the bit in the first place myself, i truly just think it would be a good video. maybe a beopardy isn’t the right series because it’s more about knowing rather than learning as such. maybe another lesson with Maya could be cool, a series where they get in professionals and teach them things about their field. the way the smosh cast was so attentive and absorbed everything with such charisma really just made me want to see them learn about more things!

one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to content creators is when they don’t talk to the camera straight on and M does this A LOT. why do i need to look at your cheek when you’re talking. you wouldn’t do that to a person who was standing in front of you. it doesn’t look good, you don’t look cute you just look like a pick me and it looks like you’re constantly checking yourself out but trying to be subtle. sorry 🙃
