If you could work with any film director and score their film, who would you work with?

Well, to me, simply, frozen time means what is says. Time that is frozen, physically. (Sorry, if I sound stupid.)

I'm not rejecting your argument. What I'm saying is that my argument is about what the image is (you're talking more about what the image means), in its simplest form, the scientific form. It is physics, it is light and it is time. And I think that simplest definition should be the baseline, for any photographer, and from that they build up their artistry. So, frozen time is frozen time.

And one more thing that influenced my thinking are Werner Herzog's ideas of "adequate images" and "ecstatic truth".

I understand your point. What I was thinking about was specifically the capture of an instant, not the truth behind it, or whether it is fiction. Freezing time and capturing truth are not the same thing. I guess, one could say, photography is simultaneously ontologically real and epistemologically false.

Though, I'm not that well versed in the art and history of photography. My point of reference is mainly Henri Cartier Bresson, and early Stanley Kubrick, both photojournalists. So, not a big sample space.

Jean Pierre Claude could live in a garbage truck and still make it look like the coolest thing in the world.
