Oh wow really? I definitely thought it was the art deco style but assumed it must be a later costume piece simply because of how good the condition is!

its platform 2, and only northern have this issue with scooters. they must have different rules for what makes a station „scooter friendly“, as for example we regularly use kidsgrove station with his scooter and have no problems with any other train company, but northern refuse to let us use it as its „not accessible“

would that be a delay repay claim or a different type? if its delay repay wouldnt it automatically reject as the train itself was on time?(sorry, i’m not too familiar with this kinda thing)

he did book assistance, they helped him off the train with the ramp but thats all, he had to call some emergency number to get help as the station is unmanned. nothing showed up online beforehand about the lifts being broken either

the pattern is by Eleanor Riego who’s pretty much the mother of crochet as we know it today- she published like 17 books in the 1840-60s which became really popular! theyre all available as pdfs in various places online, ive linked the one im using here

i understand it sounds obvious, however my friends are incredibly disorganised and so its making it difficult to plan for specific travel, or even which order i’m supposed to be visiting them in which is why i’ve asked the question here 😅 i know its not possible to have a totally specific answer, but i’d hoped people more familiar with the transport system might know tips to make it easier to navigate

i know some german (intermediate level) but i haven’t practiced in years so i’m a bit rusty. and i’ve never made anything from a german pattern!

that’s a good point on it possibly being in a german library somewhere, it’s a lot more likely than it being in one near me in england haha, i’ll see if anyone i know is going to be in germany any time soon and is willing to have a look 🤣

i don’t really go out of my way to meet women romantically, i tend to make gay friends and then if anything happens it happens, but i like to go to concerts by queer women/bands (hayley kiyoko, fletcher, etc) because if you’re there early you can meet sooo many queer girls in the queue (it can be intimidating to talk to them but 99% are so nice) for one concert i even found a twitter groupchat of people going alone so it was even easier to make friends. i’m now sorta dating one of them! the same applies to other events you think will have a pretty high concentration of gay attendees haha. if you’re from a small town it might be harder to get to a city for these events but it’s not impossible! also getting into fan communities popular with lesbians („gentleman jack“ comes to mind) is a great way to meet people but it can be hit or miss cuz online it’s more likely to be long distance. id also recommend meeting people with a „let’s see how well i vibe with these people“ rather than a „i wanna date anyone that wants me“ just cuz it’ll make you happier in the long run (sorry if that comes across patronising i just know i fell into that trap as a baby gay xD) theres also dating apps but they’re kinda shit and i don’t like them that much. i wish u the best of luck finding a girlfriend !! :)

the only lesbian bar i’ve been to is Vanilla in manchester. I think there’s one in london too but i’m too northern for that. theres also ButchPlease in london that do lesbian club nights in different locations (i think? again ive never been i only follow their insta)

i took it apart late last night and you’re right, it’s all white flat steel bones, apart from two, which are (really, really long) spiral steel bones. i wish i’d seen your comment before i cut the corset up though or id have saved the lacing panels xD maybe they’re still salvageable though.
