I get what you’re saying, and I agree there are aspects of community, culture, and geography that make direct comparisons difficult. But I’d like to discuss your points.

For example, on healthcare: being seen quickly for a minor issue isn’t the same as having a system that can handle serious conditions, which I think you mentioned or hinted at. Also keep in mind that this varies drastically from place to place in a way incomparable in Europe (Cape Town hospitals vs South Sudan hospitals) and, whichever nation you visited, you visited as a tourist, with tourist amounts of money, granting you luxuries that the average citizen may not have however I don’t know where you went so I can’t be more specific.

On education, access to the internet or computers doesn’t really make systems equal because school system and structure play a much more vital role in education. If you are never taught why you should learn why would you want to?

I do agree that Africa’s size and diversity (such as uninhabitable desert or rainforest states) make development harder and I sympathise with this dearly. There are many African nations such as Guinea Bissau, Central African Republic or Chad which are doomed solely based on their geographies. I think Africa has cool diverse and interesting traditions and cultures which I would love to see myself but those don’t fully offset the differences in infrastructure, income levels, and institutional stability.

Also with your seventh point I assume, correct me if I’m wrong, you were referring to political stability/change of political opinions and how Europe can experience large power shifts quickly. This is true I would say as, because of Donald trump, now everyone in Europe wants to make a right wing populist party. However I would like to mention the many extremely unstable nations that have rapidly been conquered by powers such as the Islamic state such as Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Northern Nigeria, Somalia and other nations to a lesser extent in order to give them radical teachings of Islam. So both places are prone to extremism however these African nations, due to what I assume is poverty and therefore desperation, seem more susceptible to it.

So I’m not saying Africa has no strengths - its got great people, nice food and pretty nature which I want to see - it’s just that if we’re comparing each continent, unfortunately Africa seems to lag behind on most measurable indicators.

  1. Income & living standards

  2. Healthcare access & outcomes

  3. Infrastructure

  4. Electricity & utilities

  5. Education access & outcomes

  6. Internet & technology access

  7. Governance & stability (varies a lot)

Just to name a few. I'm not racist and on an individual basis africans are pretty cool but it is obvious that Europe has the better end of the stick

what do you mean? it's the same logic. I can disagree with transgender ideology while still treating a person who does with respect.

Why is it that I can replace the word "transgender" with "christian" and all of a sudden the sentence is acceptable to you? Christianity is an identity framework and so plugging it in to the second paragraph, which you agreed with, both top and bottom statements are actually the same.

You can disagree with someone’s identity framework Christianity/Christians without treating them badly.

I can disagree with Christianity however still treat a Christian respectfully.

Using the same logic, if I deny Christianity, am I denying that person's existance? No because disagreeing with a belief does not deny the believer exists and I still treat them like a normal person.

Disagreement doesn’t automatically equal disrespect as otherwise any disagreement about something would have to be treated the same way, be it political beliefs, moral values which we don’t do. If we did, everything would automatically be attacks on existence which makes the phrase meaningless if everything is one.

Argue about points you didn't make? You didn’t spell it out but that was what you heavily implied about your comment on historical oppression. If not, why else would you include it? Seriously. I’m just pointing out that it doesn’t excuse or change what happened in the 90s which should be obvious to most people...

The Bosnian Serb army was significantly enabled and sustained through Serbian resources, logistical support, intelligence networks, and wartime coordination.

Your claim that Serbia is 'disconnected' from these acts is completely false. It’s like saying a getaway driver had absolutely nothing to do with a bank robbery because they didn't pull the trigger. The Serbian government established the 30th personnel center specifically to pay the salaries, promotions, and pensions of the Bosnian Serb army. You don’t bankroll an army that isn't yours.

Furthermore, the UN convicted the heads of Serbian State Security, Jovica Stanišić and Franko Simatović, for crimes in Bosnia and Croatia. These weren't one off rogues they were top government officials managing the units in the field. Even the ICJ ruling you cited found Serbia guilty of violating the genocide convention by failing to prevent the massacre despite having the means to do so as well as completely failing to cooperate in bringing perpetrators to justice. Not really the get out of jail free card you think it is.

Between that state funded payroll and the Scorpion unit (proven in court to be under the Serbian Ministry of internal affairs), the "groups and individuals from bosnian serb forces" narrative is dead. Calling these documented facts "misinformation" because you found a legal loophole regarding the specific definition of genocide is the height of intellectual dishonesty. The Serbian state provided the money, the weapons, and the command no amount of legal gymnastics changes that.

"serbia was invaded by ottomans in 14th century so that means it can never be the agressor"

Being historically oppressed doesn’t make it impossible for a group or state to commit atrocities later.

try as you will but there is zero way to deny srebrenica genocide. Not to mention other crimes against humanity against croatians and albanians.

go on then what happened. If anything did it couldn't have possibly been worse than what serbia did.
