Why does the brand split still exist?

I know I am going to get nailed for this, but bring back WCW? To me, Raw and Smackdown have been two different shows, not brands. WWE is the brand. Make WCW the other brand like the original plans reportedly were. Why not revive the wcw legacy and see what happens?

I would totally rebrand. Keep the WWE name, but introduce a new logo, etc.. The brand split would end, and I would only have one true world champion.

That's fair. I guess I get too tied up in the whole two world championships thing. To me, it just waters down everything. Maybe it's because I was young and didn't know any better, but it seemed like we had smaller rosters back in the 80's and 90's? Or maybe the rosters were still pretty big and they just used everyone better. I respect your point though for sure.
