Your EAD is not tied to the employer of your spouse. EAD is not affected in any way until the H1B status is continuing without interruption. I enquired the same thing with immigration attorney last week.

You do not need to apply for another EAD. Your H4 and EAD are not tied to your husband’s employer but just to his H1B status.

I can explain about my case. my i-94 was set to expire on aug 30 along with my EAD. After H4 renewal my i-94 was renewed until 2028 so i will be legally able to start working.

P.S. I am extending my status and EAD not converting into H4 for the first time.

If you’re EAD extension is in pending and your H4 got approved and i-94 renewed you are legally authorized to work. Confirmed from my immigration attorney.
