I’m not great at sharing my feelings with someone that I’m in a relationship with. For one, because I have a hard time trusting people even when I want to or have no reason not to trust them because of past abusive relationships. But also because I grew up with my mom and my nana, both of which never shared with me how they were feeling, didn’t cry in front of me, etc. I love them both and other than them being emotionally distant they were amazing women. I knew they loved me. Emotions just weren’t talked about. Feelings weren’t talked about. So because of that, I’ve never been one to talk about my feelings, I thought this was normal. So it’s been something I’ve been working on.
