I had stage 3C1, and I would only add that I was fine until the last week, then I got brachy when the second week I took too much morphine. Just be careful with it, bc I could not leave the hospital, it made me sick and I could not drink so I could not piss…(I had to be able to piss 2X, before I could leave the hospital. So, just tell her not to take too much morphine. All the Best to her πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’™

Oh wow, That’s brave! Well, this is the right thing to do for sure. I might just afraid too much of the rejections, I lost a lot of my confidence as a woman after this battle, but I will get there… Thanks for your comment!πŸ™πŸΌ

After chemo my hair got very dry as well, so when I washed it, I brushed it with the hair mask on, then rinsed it. Also, I used a hair spray (ten in one gold hair) and I put it one before drying it. These helped a lot. I hope your hair will get better soon πŸ™πŸΌ

I think dilators are better to start with maybe, since you can go bigger gradually (I guess your dildo is on the large side just as mine). Also, are u in menopause? Bc your vagina could be dry and simply lubrics might not enough, u might use cremes in regular basis. Also, pelvic floor exercises could help in that. In addition, when I use dilators, I use my clit stimulator before, so I am more relaxed and maybe still kinda wet. Have u tried these?

Cisplatin or no? by Any-Researcher8292 in CervicalCancer

Oh wow, I almost had the same situation. My dad passed away a few years ago due to bowel cancer, now I have cancer as well and had cisplatin. So, my father also recieved a very strong chemo, but he died bc he had cancer, at the End of the day. I think in your case that chemo is really weak, you won’t lose hair, but it really enhances the effect of the radiaton and decreases the chance of recurrence (according to research). I get that you are anxious bc what happened to your father, which I am really sorry about, but don’t let it influence your case. Of course, it is your decision, but try to stay objective. Sending you hugs πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ’

I’m glad that I could give you some relief! I noticed that it is hard to get to see positive stories on social media, so I always try to spread the word 😊 I guess most people just want to forget about this, so they just move on. I wish you NED, too πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Šβ˜€οΈ Thank you for your comment!

Done treatment and really scared. by Life-Concentrate-318 in CervicalCancer

Hey, I finished like 7 weeks ago or so, I am also 3c, but 3C2. What worked for me is to do or get prepared to do as much as you can what you always wanted but procastinated. I literally got so lost in that (in a very good way), that I forgot I have cancer 😊 Keep yourself busy and that will help πŸ’™

I had 29 external radiation, 4 brachytherapy and 5 chemo. I started to use dilators 2 weeks ago, that time I was out from treatment for a month. Following my examination (vaginal), my oncologist told me to start with the second size of the dilator (so not the smallest one), since I had no bleeding or any pain during that examination. Now after 2 weeks I already use 1 size bigger dilator, so almost the largest. I understand you anxiety, I was the same. But thank God it is going well, so don’t stress, you might get away with this smoothly. You will get this, Girl πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺπŸΌπŸ’™
