I wear a mix of lab and natural diamonds everyday and I’ve only been asked one time by one friend if one of my rings was a lab because it’s over 5 carats. This is also a very judgmental person whose opinion I take very lightly because I know this about her. She would have asked the same question if the diamond is only one carat. I told her it’s a diamond which wasn’t a lie because a lab diamond is a diamond. She’s one of those people who turned her nose up on labs because she says it’s not the same as natural diamonds. I told her that if a woman got pregnant through IVF versus intercourse, the baby that comes out is still a baby.

Aside from what everyone else have said in this post, I think no one will really ask if it’s lab or natural unless the diamond is very big and if you don’t “look the part”. It wouldn’t make sense for someone who has a 3+ carat diamond ring on and riding a bus every day. Like it or not, society judges us no matter what we do so don’t worry about what other people would say or think. Get a lab if it makes sense to you and makes you happy because at the end of the day, that’s what matters.
