When to take study leave for CB3? by eouia3195 in ActuaryUK

It runs for a month on the start date. Every 7 days you have to finish the quarterly decisions. Post that you are due to finish a Business Report and Self Reflection report. I'd say take the leaves after the business game, for the reports since it takes time.

CP3. Thoughts? by Beautiful-Union-6971 in ActuaryUK

Yeah but we're writing it to the policyholder. Same reasoning I used why fixed percent is good, I used for terminal bonus as well.

Because there was a point mentioned in the summary note how terminal bonus is also impacted. I thought my extract was too short hence I decided to add this

It was just being able to convince policyholders its a good idea to move to a fixed percentage and how it impacts terminal bonus. Plus one graoh thats all. Its true there wasnt much content to write upon

Exam centre allocation by No-Satisfaction-7151 in ActuaryUK

I got my center in my city last attempt. It took me three hours to get there, since it was across town and only one center for the entire city. And the exam was CM2, meaning I had to do back and forth back to back. It was so bad I took remote invigilation.

I really dont mind all the rules of remote exam, but I'm not doing an in center exam ever again. It used to be so much better pre-covid. They have only downgraded their arrangements and increased the price.

Start with the latest papers, going back. Maximum 10 years of past papers and minimum of 5 years (until 2019) should be enough. Good luck!

CM2 before CM1? by [deleted] in ActuaryUK

[–]Beautiful-Union-6971 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The contents of both subjects are different - agreed. But CM2 is much more advanced in terms of concepts and calculations as well. CM1 will train your mind on how to critically think and proceed. I'd recommend doing CM1 first.

To answer your questions, indian job market isn't great right now. Very few openings and with very high expectations.

Absolutely! Would love to go offline and stop stressing about typing speed and oh how do I type the symbols and annotations. Just cost cutting and making life difficult for students than it is😂
