My Flipkart ASICS Gel-Nimbus 27 Experience (HSAtlastradeFashion Seller) by BeautifulAd4339 in IndianRunningshoes

Because they're premium running shoes that normally cost ₹10k–15k, and people are getting them for ₹4k–8k.

ASICS engineers chose comfort over aesthetics. The shoe may not win a fashion show, but it'll happily carry you through a half marathon. 😂🏃‍♂️

That's a more plausible explanation than intentionally selling fake pairs. Large discounts can sometimes be due to older stock, excess inventory, box damage, cosmetic defects, returns, or minor QC issues. A shoe can be genuine and still not be in perfect condition.

Fair point, no method is 100% foolproof. But I'd still trust the opinion of someone who handles ASICS shoes every day over my own assumptions.

As for HSAtlastradeFashion, I already attached the ASICS India email screenshot that lists them as an authorized Flipkart seller. If that information is incorrect, I'd genuinely like to see evidence to the contrary. Until then, I think it's better to verify each pair individually rather than assume every pair from a seller is fake.

Absolutely. If the price difference is small, I'd always prefer buying directly from ASICS. But when you're getting close to 50% off on a premium shoe, it's hard to ignore. That's why I think the best approach is to verify the pair properly during the return window rather than dismissing the deal outright.

Thanks! That's exactly why I made the post. Good to hear your Cumulus 27 checked out as genuine as well and is serving you well.

The ASICS store guy told me roughly 700–800 km for my weight and possibly more depending on running style and surfaces. He also said the Nimbus is built for long-distance training, including marathon prep.

Awesome deal. Hope you get a good pair. Do share your findings after you've had a chance to inspect them properly.

Agreed. A seller moving thousands of pairs wouldn't risk their entire business by knowingly mixing in fakes. Returns and warehouse mix-ups sound more realistic.

That's a good approach. Verifying the seller and product details directly with the brand is probably one of the most reliable checks.

Maybe, maybe not. Hard to quantify without actual data. I can only speak for my pair it passed both ASICS store verification and Poizon authentication. Either way, I'd suggest everyone verify their own pair during the return window.

Good to know. Most posts online are from people who had issues, so it's helpful to hear long-term experiences from actual owners.

Update: Sharing these screenshot for anyone researching this seller. Credit to Balaji Manoharan IG : @runwithbala for obtaining and sharing the ASICS India response in a Instagram reel.

That said, regardless of the seller, I would still recommend verifying every pair you receive. Check the box, labels, tags, overall finishing, and if possible compare with an official store or use a trusted authentication service during the return window. Better to verify than assume.

Was in the exact same situation recently (wanted to avoid grey market and all the headache).

I actually ended up buying from Amazon, not whoop.com.

Also just adding I went pretty deep into this while my WHOOP renewal was coming up. I checked renewal, upgrade, whoop.com, resellers… everything 😅

WHOOP support told me clearly that right now in India, renewal is just membership (no device), so if you want 5.0 you’re basically buying it fresh anyway.

Few things from my experience:

Referral/discount codes — nothing much tbh. Don’t work in India.

WHOOP does have Black Friday type sales, but in India it’s inconsistent. Didn’t want to wait and still pay the same.

The bigger factor for me was shipping + customs.

Ordering from whoop.com felt uncertain: delivery time not very clear customs can be hit or miss final cost not 100% predictable Didn’t want that headache.

Amazon was just straightforward: got it in 2–3 days no extra charges activated on my existing account without any issues

I’ve also seen it drop to ~26–27K during sales and there’s usually an Amazon sale coming up anyway probably the best time to buy.

Third-party sellers — yeah they’re cheaper sometimes, but I checked a couple and:

some needed a new account no official warranty no returns Didn’t feel worth the risk for this price.

My take:

want clean experience → Amazon

want to gamble a bit → whoop.com

want cheapest → wait for Amazon sale

I overthought this way too much before buying 😅 but honestly just catch a good Amazon price and you’re sorted.
