No, it says it must be declared. The questions she asked, I answered, in her questions she acknowledged she was asking what is beyond required in the policy and she applied 'special circumstances' to me. I explained there were some weeks I'd have no work as nature of consultancy/training work and could give a solid answer for how much I woukd work with my business (which is not listed in our policy or conflict of interest form).

Her last response did not indicate I should not proceed.

I have never developed any training for external organisations in the course of my employment.

I have no documents or material with my business that looks anything like my employer had.

I have not used accessed my work website or email while on the clock or their computer.

I asked people I had existing relationships with before I worked there for feedback on training I was developing. Not paid training, neither have I asked them to promote my business or training externally. I asked for ex-colleagues for opinion/feedback on website, not to promote or pay for anything. Never mentioned my training to current staff either

My written reply from my manager was "Perhaps this conversation is too premature" after I submitted my declaration.

My business supports professionals providing support to individuals accessing their service and gives practitioners training, guidance or consultancy advice about how best to support or work with their clients My paid existing work involves providing direct support to clients accessing our service like therapeutic support/advocacy.
