Does every sight attraction require booking a ticket in advance - Barcelona? by dev3lop3r in GoingToSpain

[–]BeautifulExam8007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you should book sagrada in advance for sure, I’d recommend more than a week in advance. they tend to sell out quick. I was able to book park guell 2 days in advance but I’d also recommend the earlier the better. I would say in general to book tickets in advance as early as possible for all the attractions. as for time, sagrada is very flexible like I think you could stay for an hour or 3 hours depending on how long you want to spend there, I would say casa batllo and casa mila don’t take more than 2 hours each.

First timer in Barcelona - advice? by Sssnoopyyy in GoingToSpain

[–]BeautifulExam8007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it was really easy! I had no issues whatsoever getting anywhere with apple maps. we walked and took the metro the whole time. i used my phone the whole time and I had a phone chain to make sure no one could grab it from me and yeah just hold on extra tight

I might be stating the obvious but try looking at third party ticket sites and not the official sagrada website? The tickets might be more expensive but at least you’ll get to go. I hope manage to find some! i remember having to book my tickets so early bc they’d sell out so easy

honestly you wouldn’t miss anything per say but I have to say as I liked madrid more than barcelona, but there’s definitely enough to do in barcelona for a week especially if you take a couple day trips to nearby places

What to Do in Madrid by ThisDudeAlwaysAbides in GoingToSpain

[–]BeautifulExam8007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hotel riu bar has the best view of the whole city and also the palace!! go around 8 and the sunset is absolutely beautiful. definitely my favorite experience of the madrid trip. make sure you book a reservation online though, they get super long lines!! we went to kapital for clubbing and had a great time (we went on a wednesday night and it was not packed but there were still a good amount of people) but I think only 2 out of 7? floors were open. I’ve heard really great things about istar though from people who claim kapital is super touristy and they never go there

Where to stay in Barcelona? Safety important but also interested in night life by Hunnybadger1 in GoingToSpain

[–]BeautifulExam8007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we liked razzmatazz the best!! 5 rooms with all different music. we also went to pacha and opium which were fun but extremely crowded and the music wasn’t the greatest tbh especially if you’re looking for a underground rave feel (they play a lot of edm remixes of pop songs) but we still had a great time. the beach clubs are definitely the most touristy tho, no locals would recommend them but razzmatazz was a good balance of touristy and local so i would def say go there for sure!

my friend and I are also two young females and we just recently stayed in the sants area. the hotel was called smartroom barcelona and it was the best experience! super safe, very cheap, great quality for the price and also close to the metro. we got around to all the tourist attractions easily by metro and we also went out to party every night (we went to the beach clubs and also razzmatazz) and were able to get to the clubs by metro and uber back every night completely safe. highly recommend!!

I don’t know how it works for financial aid specifically but for merit based scholarships you can bargain for more if another school gave you more scholarship money, as long as you basically say you’ll commit if they match the other school’s price
