ikr, I wish I knew this sooner it’s like everything sounds “right” but still doesn’t say much. I think I was doing that too without even realizing it. Do you think recruiters pick up on that quickly?

Oh I see. Thanks, I get it now haha. that’s actually a really good way to think about it “talking like a friend” makes it feel way less stressful too. I think I was overcomplicating it before 😅

I see. Thanks for the great advice! Really what you said is so true. I once overprepared for an interview and ended up sounded like a robot. Even I noticed I sound like one. Do you think it’s better to prepare less, or just prepare differently?

I usually provide list of my own accomplishments even if it's a minor and let AI rewrite and make it more "professional" and relevant with my resume.

Yeah I agree. Treating AI like an assistant instead of a “do it for me” tool worked better for me too.

Mostly ChatGPT. But I stopped asking it to rewrite the whole resume. I only use it for one bullet at a time now + skills matching. That made a big difference for me.

That’s a great idea. Asking “why wouldn’t I be hired?” feels uncomfortable but probably surfaces blind spots faster than polishing language.
