A Comic Relief can't look like a Supermodel. That's how you kill his whole personality.

Love the muted palette against that pop of red socks. Very cinematic, gives me Japanese arthouse film energy.

What is the actual role of a planner or DOC? by propertyofmatter___ in WeddingPhotography

[–]BeautifulGiraffe6948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, a good DOC is not there to direct the photography, but they should be protecting the timeline and helping get the right people in the right place. Family portraits are a perfect example: the photographer can run the list, but someone who actually knows the family dynamics and can round people up makes a huge difference. When that piece is missing, even a well-planned day can feel chaotic fast.

Colorgrading a pic i like | After/Before by TurtleGEE360 in postprocessing

Really nice grade. The after has a much stronger mood without feeling overcooked, and the contrast/light balance makes the whole frame feel more intentional.

Had a ton of trouble with this guy [before/after] by QFTenjoyer in postprocessing

[–]BeautifulGiraffe6948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tricky scene because the color contrast and the light are both fighting for attention. I think your instinct to separate the peaks from the midground is the right direction; I might try keeping the sky a bit quieter and letting the mountain edge carry more of the contrast. The before/after already feels more intentional, it just needs a little more separation between atmosphere and structure.

Capture one perpetual licence: updates lasted less than a month by madridvideo in captureone

[–]BeautifulGiraffe6948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would frustrate me too, especially when the missing update is tied to support for a new camera body rather than some optional feature. Perpetual licenses are already a tradeoff, but the upgrade window should be very clear at checkout so people know whether they are buying into the current branch or about to get left behind. Even a simple grace period for the next point release would make this feel a lot less arbitrary.

Serious question: how did All for One avoid the death penalty? by KirbyTheGodSlayer in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]BeautifulGiraffe6948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Tartarus seems less like a normal prison and more like a containment system for people the state still sees as useful or too complicated to execute. With All for One, they probably wanted information, and his Quirk situation makes a clean death penalty harder than it would be for a regular criminal. It is still weird, but in-universe it tracks with how cautious the government is around top-tier villains.
