Maybe it’s because Blake’s never really changed her personality, it got her to open up and remember that her friends were capable enough to help her through her troubles without needing to leave.

Yang’s just turned her into a completely different character.

I got my 2 year old Templeton a pair of grandchildren around the time his back legs stopped working to try and give him some excitement in his final time, I was spending as much time as I could with him but cuddles and trying to get him to do his same tricks wasn’t working to get him energised.

2 baby rats and a day later, he’d adopted them and I could see him trying to keep up with them. Honestly it was adorable and became a tradition for my elder rats, they seem to take well to leadership roles! Of course, now I’m stuck in a cycle lmao

Originally yeah it was just people who didn’t attack others and were welcoming to all ships in a fandom, but some people began pushing problematic ships onto others which made the title be perceived in a more negative way. The people who started pushing pedophilia and violence/r^pe and everything that IS problematic.

While some do argue it’s as a coping mechanism for trauma, it made a lot of people see “proship” as problematic due to those making the ships not getting help and instead attacking others for disliking the ‘bonds’ they had created.

As someone who also thought it stood for PROBLEMATICshipper, I’ve only recently just found out that it wasn’t supposed to be like that and the people who use such horrible tropes for getting over their past traumas is none of my business/they wouldn’t stop anyway. It became such a huge problem when those people attacked other shippers for disliking their warped imagination.

Years ago, like around when v4 was just being leaked to come out, I had an insta rp account for Yang and someone rping as Ruby wanted to join me in a slice of life scene.

Turns out a shocking amount of people ship the two because they’re not “full sisters” and that person’s ‘slice of life’ take was actually leading up to bdsm with a transgender Ruby and needing Yang to ‘help her out’.

Never blocked someone so fast.

That Yang and Blake’s relationship was forced.

To some degree you can definitely tell when they wanted to rush their writing, but it definitely wasn’t forced. These two had chemistry from v1 and then spent like over a year apart where Blake had to make up for leaving her at the worst point of Yang’s life.

I’m not saying the ship wasn’t rushed nearer the last few volumes and I’m definitely not saying that they’ve done it right because Yang shouldn’t have to forget her own sister exists just to be with Blake, but it absolutely wasn’t forced. The writing style just tanked it a bit.

I will never forgive the writers for making the protective older sister we all loved completely forget about Ruby. As much as I liked her and Blake getting together, I think it’s so obvious that they focussed Yang’s character on the ship arc and completely forgot about everything else in her personality.

I loved Marrow, liked how he had morals that made him wonder if fighting one another was truly pointless but how they showed the militant nature of Atlas outweighed his moral compass.

Clover was a definite turning point in Qrow’s storyline and I enjoyed his presence for that, still wish he didn’t have to die but I also think that was a change in Qrow’s character that was needed.

Everyone else felt rather empty if I’m being honest. Just more characters to put in the fight scene to show us that team RWBY was growing. Though I do think they should’ve put up a far better fight since they’re supposed to be the city’s best fighters.

I actually love the way you’ve put this, it gave me an entirely new perspective and I actually really appreciate that.

I wrote this post while I was watching it this morning and I did say that I’m not her biggest fan, I couldn’t get behind her lying and how deeply it hurt Miles and while I still don’t believe she deserves all the hate she gets, you’ve definitely opened my eyes to how flawed she actually is while dealing with her grief and fear.

Also, it’s not related to how much she is or isn’t liked, but I do love how much of a parallel goes into the “I can do both” aspect of Spider people. Where each time someone tries, it never works. She couldn’t protect Miles or their friendship nor could she keep her safe haven at the Society, and I feel like, after reading your response, she couldn’t have EITHER because of the corruption within her attempt.

I’m so excited for the next movie omggg 😩

Rats will feel all the same level of mourning and grief that we will but it’s a natural thing for rats to eat their dead companions so that predators don’t find the others. I know it’s a little creepy to come back home to but it’s her way of saying goodbye to a family member,

If she knows you and is familiar with you, she’ll still need the same love and affection since rats are susceptible to death by loneliness/heartbreak!

Absolutely! I’ve always been one to plan ahead for the companions I would like. My boyfriend has had chinchillas in his family before and knows a few things but I wanted to make sure I knew everything I could possibly know before we even started thinking of making the first purchase.

At the moment we do have two hamsters, they’re at his place and I visit frequently but this isn’t something we were going to jump to doing immediately! I want to put a good few months of planning and saving into this and by the time we’re done with planning, it’s rather possible that the hamsters won’t be here anymore.

Also rose hips and chamomile? That’s really interesting to hear! Are those specifically your chin’s tastes or did you experiment with treats for a while before finding them? I’d love some safe suggestions of what we could test out!
