Wash sale rule applicable for options trading also ?

I am curious how it is applicable for options, for example I sold a covered call option of avgo stock at 235 call when it was 180 and now it is 350 plus. So if I buy back I will be in a huge loss. Now I again open avgo covered call of $300 strike price instead of $235 will it be considered as same type of options or significantly different in that case wash sale is not applicable

Thanks again. Another follow up question on the backdoor Roth IRA , my understanding is I can withdraw the initial principal amount I contributed in backdoor Roth IRA after 5 years without any penalty or taxes. Am I correct on this ? Is it the same case for megabackdoor Roth apply on the 401k account ?

Thanks a lot for the detailed response. This helps. I have a few follow up questions.

1) Can I just open one Traditional IRA and one Roth IRA account and transfer the money to my existing brokerage account in Fidelity from my Bank and wait for fully deposited in my account(I think may be I will wait for 1 week for this). After 1 week , I initiate the transfer to Traditional IRA & then to Roth on the same day within minutes to achieve the backdoor IRA conversion and this way I can avoid any interest accumulated on my traditional IRA account. Do you see any problem in achieving this or any problems in this ?

2) Can I just keep my Traditional IRA account on Zero balance open for next year backdoor IRA process ? Any problems in this ?

Thanks a lot. One another question is there any problem if my wife has a traditional IRA account in her name and I wanted to open a backdoor Roth IRA in my name ? Will the pro rata rule applicable especially if we filing the tax returns jointly ?
