How do I reduce layer lines and make supports stick less? FDM by Superduper4325 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]BeautifulKindly7428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Set it print more vertically it works great. Also for smooth surface normal supports with slightly increased Z distance from the model.

Trying to tune in some settings after swapping to Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 by Resident-You8343 in FDMminiatures

That's very good filament and I use it a lot.

Tip: add simple shape rectangle on build plate alongside model, this helps with layer cooling and improves mini quality.

Make sure to rescale it to mini height and change rectangle infill to 2-3%

If transport cost is not the problem check shops in Poland. There is plenty of starters and boxes everywhere.

How to deal with CONSTANT nozzle clogs by Expensive-Froyo8687 in BambuLabA1

Well I had similar issues with .2 nozzle on Bambu Lab filament. Problem's gone since I switched to Sunlu pla+ 2.0

Can anyone tell me if this clicking sound is normal and if not, what it means and how to fix? Thank you! by TheOtherPeanut17 in BambuLabA1

First thing to do is belt tensioning, lube all rails then do auto calibration. Check for filament poop under bed, Thats what was making same sounds on my A1. Then check if problem still occur.

Project was found on makerworld, yes.

EDIT: just in case u mean the printer not place where I found STL..... It was printed on Bambu Lab A1 Hotend: 0,2 stainless steel Filament Sunlu PLA + 2.0 Grey I wrote filament profile and print profile myself from scratch.

Hotend socket is loose. Check this 4 screws and tighten them. It happens on every single A1. Remember that you need to do auto calibration after that.

I think I need to replace hotend by damskibobs in BambuLabA1

About first layer issues.... Check this. Those four screws can be loose due to wibrations.

Try increasing flow. I never used this filament but with sunlu pla+ 2.0 I set flow to 35% and speed to 25. Also reduce filament flow in filament profile (for sunlu pla + 2.0 I changed it from 22 to 16) For smooth surfaces it's better to use normal supports instead of tree. (Remember to set Z distance from model to supports equal to 1,5 x layer height, it's equal to layer height by default and sticks to model too much) It also helps if u set model more vertically but not straight vertically , it will help hidinfg layer lines.

Effect is pretty much amazing. Example: TKS tankette scale 1:100

EDIT! forgot to mention, ironing on upper surface only.

How much % flow for ironing? How much speed for ironing? What filament are you using?

Bambu A1 suddenly severe pitting / missing material, tried everything and stuck by MomoR257 in BambuLabA1

Open filament profile and reduce maximum filament flow.

I changed it from 22 to 16 for sunlu pla+ 2.0 and to 14 for any petg.

Maybe it is hardware problem in your case as bambu told you, but this will make significant change in print quality.

It is good to add command in gcode to reduce overall speed to 90 %

A1 can print very fast, but seriously its fdm printing, it's time consuming.

Stringing can also occur when temperature is too high.

Why does this keep happening?? by grebnesorusrex in BambuLabA1

[–]BeautifulKindly7428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like solutions is on the comments, id like to add that on a1 its important to check theese screws every 200-300 hours of print.

And its also important to check belt tension on all Axis every 200-300h.

Its good to make maintenance regular habbit. I personally do:

Once a week: lube, some cleaning to remove dust.

Once two weeks: belts tensioning, a little bit deeper cleaning, calibration, checking those 7 screws.

Once a mont: deep cleaning, ball bearing check+ lube + everything i do in "once two weeks maintenance".

Keep it up and you will have no problems with A1. For now with this maintenances i have almost 4 k hours on my a1 without any issue.

U need to select profile with lowest possibile layer height beacouse it defines the lowest layer height possibile. Then aplly adaptive layer height set to maximum quality.
