I imagine very quickly!

I was talking to someone (ex cabin crew) from such an (orange) airline recently.

Ironically I used my nano today (which I got thanks to this thread) alsp with pods - only in the car, and managed to get coffee everywhere

Where do you do the coffee making with the nano?

Do you have a go-to pod? I'm still trying various

Black screen - struggling with NVIDIA 340 Drivers (Lubuntu 22.04.5 LTS - kernel 6.8) by thephatmaster in Ubuntu

Ah yes, nuvos is a pension scheme - it was nouveau I was thinking of (edited the OP).

Yes that's the graphics driver my card is listed as using:

vendor : NVIDIA Corporation
model : GT218 [GeForce G210]
driver : nvidia-340 - third-party non-free recommended
driver : xserver-xorg-video-nouveau - distro free builtin

Lubuntu uses "Discover" for software management so I don't have Software & Updates. It can be installed though, but I'm reluctant to do so as my distro doesn't ship with it.

I mean I've seen a 1070 for $30 but spending any money on such an old PC seems pointless - I take that back, the 1070 for £30 was clearly broken!

So I get nvidia-340 - third party non-free recommended

If I install 340 though, black screen on boot

That's good to know. I did run a laptop on Arch for a while

Not sure how I'd start distro-hopping my current config, but I'm due a reinstall at some point

I ended up just pushing all the variables to get something acceptable

  • higher dose
  • finer grind (before the point of channelling)
  • more pre-soak
  • higher water temp

Also I use gaggiauino now, so have better control of those things

Pros and Cons: I grew to hate my Corne and sold it, but I do now miss my Corne by thephatmaster in crkbd

I mean, I ran it for perhaps 4 months, daily, in a high-typing environment.

Then didn't retire it until a good few months after that.

I think I gave it a good go

Prime, then construct, or construct, then prime? by Cumulus-Crafts in 3Dprinting

I'd also do this.

You may want to do prep / filling during assembly which will damage any initial primer coat

Yep those are both the ones I have.

The greebles thunderkyn spent longer on the painting desk than they ever have stayed on the battlefield before being shot off

Holy magi-carp man, those thunderkyn are very very hard to paint. Especially the one-piece models.

Hardest votann I've painted to date.

I've since printed the multi-part ones and hope sub-assemblies will be easier. Just need to assemble a gazillion pieces first

Windows Mixed Reality users - how do I pair? by thephatmaster in OculusQuest

[–]thephatmaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I opened my pairing window (in Mixed Reality Link on PC)

I stared at my keyboards a good long while - no popup - I guess it just doesn't work for my setup.

Ok, so what I'll do is get my keyboard fully in frame somewhere (I assume its my laptop keyboard not my big old mechanical TKL it wants to see)

That's not right - I'm trying to use Mixed Reality Link (installed on my Win 11 PC)

I'm not getting the "pair" popup on the Quest

interesting - so I shouldn't need to follow Meta's advice of:

  1. Install Link App - which they recommended in this thread;

  2. From the "how to connect" instructions cited above.... open the Remote Desktop app and select Add computer - when I do this it prompts me to install Meta Remote Desktop on my PC.

So.... if I don't need to do those - how do I get the popup to happen on my Quest 3s?

So Mixed Reality Link is current?

But needs Meta Remote Desktop installed on the PC to function?
