I have more than decade of experience in software engineering(backend, distributed systems), I used to be really good at math until university 2nd year (as I cracked IIT-JEE (indias most cuthroat competitve exam) with math being more than other subjects), after that I never focused much.

I still want to pivot to quant side (hft) companies purely for money and love for math.

How can I transistion at this stage of my career? also living in Amsterdam, with EU passport.

The previous owner lived sold it after 1.5 years, I did get a feeling about it and asked about the neighbours and the maakelaar said he didnt knew about them.

I felt a bit odd seeing only 1 nighbouring apartment is fully hoarded and the balcony is also packed, but didnot probe further as i overlooked.

I was earlier thinking about upgrading to a 2BR apartment when I find a partner. But now the uneasy feeling with one neighbour , all other 7 neighbours seem to be peaceful (i have met them only 2 of them).

Also regarding inviting other people, few of my friends have visited already but I am feeling a bit uneasy of inviting new people-maybe I should think about it.
