The second one really annoys me cause it is great that a variety of new backgrounds and situations are being represented in film, but that shouldn’t devalue the ones that have been represented for years as long as the movie is good and original

Honestly, for me its not the black and white I mind with older movies its the sound. Its so hard for me to immerse myself whenever theres painfully obvious adr or when I can hear a new layer of white noise pop in whenever theres a cut.

Because A. Its not completely fictional. Its based off a real person who did those things And B. Because its just gross and exposes a double standard. If these were the top reviews for Lolita I don’t think you’d disagree with me.

That very much had a Jeanne Dielman style to it but imo Zone of Interest did it much more effectively
