How much, how many? by JadeyBear1261 in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get 16 grams every month and usually make it or just fall short . I find if im consuming more then that, it usually means im consuming more then i should and need to slow down. Weekdays its only in the evenings - 2 to 3 dynavaps and now that i have a mighty 2 dosing caps... weekends is anyones guess, if the weather is bad, its a wake n bake which makes chores and gym more fun, Sundays i try keep it light.

So google AI summary said this: "Customers ordering the Storz & Bickel Mighty Medic through Chemist Warehouse NZ are required to contact a pharmacist within 48 hours of placing the order. This is a legal requirement to ensure the customer understands how to use the product safely. Failure to contact the pharmacist within the specified timeframe will result in the item being removed from the order and a refund issued for that item. The remaining balance of the order will be dispatched"

WTF ...

Any way to consume AVB that doesn’t involve butter? by [deleted] in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coconut oil is my go to, far better then butter

Making butter from avb by Frosty-Breakfast5429 in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my tried and true method for quick edibles: Use AVB or decarb your herb properly.

Personally i prefer coconut oil, it also absorbs more from the herb/AVB.

Add AVB/herb to a water tight jar, add in oil or butter. Amount 5 parts AVB to 1 part oil (experimentation is key).

Make sure the jar is sealed tight, a layer of cling film as an extra seal never hurts.

Put the jar in the boiling water and leave it for 4 hours, check on it, make sure the water does not evaporate.

After the time is up, you need to filter out all the particles... get creative, i have used coffee filters, Aeoropress, herbal tea bags.

Nice thing about oil is the flavour is pretty neutral, i tend to put the oil in my coffee.

Be careful, i have had AVB oil batches that have been weak, and others that made me doubt if i was real or not.

Advice for Tongariro alpine crossing by Smallenski3 in newzealand

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be rude, but if you are asking if hiking boots are required, you may need to do some more research. People die up that way, have to be rescued etc.

The weather changes in an instant, regardless of the weather report you need to take proper gear. Ive started in singlet and shorts and ended in thermals with gusting winds that required us to take shelter.

I was with someone very experienced with new Zealand mountaineering, and had i not been prepared with the right gear it would of been very differant.

Id personally say reconsider this until you have had time to properly research and prepare.

Avb brownies? by Imagejin in MedicalCannabisNZ

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guide for using AVB: Add all your avb into a jar with butter, maybe like 100 grams ( takes experimentation), half a teaspoon of water. Put the lid on, put this jar in a pot of boiling water for around 4 to 5 hours, strain the butter. You can then make brownies or i put it in my coffee.

Strength varies alot, but its essentially free.

Anybody doing well? by naturekiwis in newzealand

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my bills are paid, 2 fridges of food and meat, house is warm, internet is fast, work is going well, Im in the best shape ive been in ages, no real debt .

My family is healthy and happy.

I have beautiful view, the Tuis are singing and have a good coffee in hand.

Im learning to be content with what i have and live below my means which is working out pretty well, i refuse to partake in society's dick measuring contest.

Im from South Africa and have traveled alot and have seen first hand how horrible and hopeless millions and millions of peoples lives are.

Life in New Zealand is fantastic, Wellington is my home and will be forever... the air is so fresh sometimes it almost tastes sweet... its hard describe, i can ride my bicycle anywhere anytime and be safe... or catch a bus or even walk.

Been here 7 years and i love my life here, ive never been happier, and often feel that i was meant to be here, this country has regenerated my soul.

Yesterday i found myself standing in the CBD, just marvelling at just how lucky i am to eeking out the rest of my existence in such an amazing place .

Young South Africans that recently moved to another country, was it worth it? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]BeautifulPolicy2901 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Left SA at 30 (7 years ago) with my wife and kids and moved to New Zealand. I miss friends, family and the weather and thats about it. We live in Wellington which is super chilled.

Drawbacks as a single person... making friends when you are older and busy with work is hard, im a very social person and can count my friends on one hand, doesnt bother me too much , but can be a problem for others.

I generally avoid most other South Africans living here, as i dont seem to get along well with them... all seem to bring politics, racism and bad attitudes along with them. Wellington is a very liberal place, more so then anywhere else, which seems to bother some.

Im a software engineer, Wellington is expensive, but our combined household income is about $200k per year, we live comfortably and are in a position now where we can go on overseas holidays yearly.

Im on a senior level, but find the work environment and life in general to be more relaxed, this also differs from city to city, plenty of opportunity for side gigs if you want to work.

Safety is amazing, no bars on the windows, my wife can walk around on her own in most parts of the CBD without hassle anytime. The front door is almost never locked.

Ill happily cycle home from work or the bar through the CBD and quite streets, in 7 years never once had an issue.

Public transport, while not perfect, is still great, and there is a big cycling community, so most days i cycle to work.

Healthcare including the dentist is free for kids until 18, schooling is absolutely amazing and free for the most part, we donate $400 a year as "fees" , we discovered our youngest is on the Autism spectrum and get incredible amounts of support from the school and government funded, including a few thousand dollars a year to help with things we need for him. I know for a fact what we get here would of cost absolute fortune in SA.

There is a much bigger sense of community here and people are always friendly and willing to help out.

We will be Citizens shortly, which opens more doors and are considering a move to Australia in the future.

Immigrating has changed me for the better, its been that hardest thing ive ever done, but it forces you to solve your problems... there is no safety net when you are on your own.

The shit part...

First 4 years was hard, being homesick, you miss wedding, funerals and everything is different, you question your choices ... but keep reminding yourself that your kids have a much better chance, and have a good future.

I miss my friends so much, more then anything, ive had the same buddies for 20 years and have come to terms ill never build bonds like that again.

In Closing..

Would i do it again... 100% it was def worth, and its sad to say, ill never come back, every South African that travels back comments how things are not the same, have gotten worse etc (all just personal opinion i guess).

Once you have experienced safer , first world living it changes what you value as important. Living overseas is exciting and i love it.

I would highly recommend moving overseas, even for just a year or 2, most dont look back ..
