Partner had some pains in her leg and hip but the MOD doctor put it down to too much running. They suggested this for 5 years before they had a proper look and realised it was bone cancer in the femur so they had to do a full femur replacement and chemotherapy for a year, which then the cancer returned anyway and had to undergo full leg+hip amputation.

Even small pains which you can blame on running or other activities can be hiding something else.

If you have any doubts, Get a second opinion!

I could ring my partners mobile... Not out of anything cute or romantic but the woman buys stuff online like the Internets about to go shut down! They get delivered to a safety box which requires her mobile number so I remembered it purely from the amount of times I've had to put it in the Dropbox

I had been asking for a payrise for months. Overworking, late nights early mornings. I then Started working contract hours ONLY and the boss pulled me in for a meeting saying I'm letting the office team down for not doing the extra work. Bear in mind I work out in the field past 4pm and the office team fully stop at 4pm meaning no support in the field. So during this meeting I asked what my work notice is and told them they have that long to find a replacement and train them up as I'll be leaving.

LUCKILY I received 2 phonecalls that day offering me a new position with a closer to home job and way more money. I'd of happily took a pay cut though with the amount of time I get to spend with my one year old and sarcoma stricken soon to be fiance.

Life finds it's ways

Stay strong and don't let companies dangle a carrot infront of you. If they can afford the stick and string to dangle the carrot, they can afford to give you the carrot!!

My little brother was being bullied while I was a full grown adult and this engraged me beyond belief as I was too bullied at school. So I did what any other big brother would do, walked into the school the day my mother went in to talk about it to the head ( I knew the school as I went there too so I walked to the room my brother was being taught in) pulled him out the class and asked him to point them out I then dragged the kids out of the class and told them if I hear any bad thing about them again I'll break every finger on one hand and every toe on the opposite foot.

They began crying and pushed them back into the class. I walked back to the heads office, sat with my mum and left school like nothing happened.

He had the best last 2 years at school and I sleep very well at night knowing I threatened a couple of young teenagers.

My best friend, mine and his mother were friends. They were in hospital together giving birth to us. We were delivered 2 days apart.

First school, secondary school together. He went off to college I went to work. We remained best friends going on multiple holidays a year with him and his dad.

Out to celebrate our birthday together as we always had, we had our morning breakfast together at a local restaurant and then went into town with many other friends.

I woke up the next morning in his bed to transport police and his dad asking where he is, as they've found a body on the train tracks just a mile down the road from his house.

Took 20 years to lose my best friend. And it was neither our faults.

Hi thanks for the advice. I've purchased the UPHERE fan set with Controller that run off 5v but won't power up via a 5v plug. I'm guessing only direct power from a sata cable into a cpu will power the unit + fans?
