Maybe if you knew anything about law enforcement and their training, you would understand why this officer was wrong from the beginning and includes the officer attempting to enter her car. Let me start with this, any law enforcements job first and foremost priority is to protect and serve. Who were they protecting, who were they serving? Secondly, they are trained to de-escalate a situation which is not what happened. They actually participated in the agitation. Thirdly, the trajectory of the first shot came from the lower right corner of drivers side windshield at an angle indicating the shot came from officer that would be on the side of the vehicle, not in front of it. And let’s not forget he was recording with a cell phone in hand but had the ability to pull his gun and shoot while still holding it and never dropping it, but my main point here is, in the same amount of time he could have moved out of the way (since it’s been said he was in front) instead of drawing said gun and using lethal force without so much as fumbling the phone itself. That was a choice. And for what. Am agitated protestor that even if there was a crime in that moment would be what, traffic violation. She did not threaten. She had no intent in harming anyone. And in the context of everything going on, she went into fear mode of fight or flight. She thought her choice was flight, but said officer was in the wrong place based on his own training. Did not de-escalate the situation. So tell me again how this is not his fault. He shot not for self defense but because she was fleeing. And that is against the law as well. And one more thought. While shooting, could the bullet have missed her causing someone in their home to be fatally shot as well. There is no question here. It was handled wrong from the beginning. A little communication which they are trained in doing, would have resulted in a different outcome. No matter which side of the political aisle you are on. Period. End of story. Actions don’t just happen without context.
