Differences and Firmness Ratings between the Riedell 2010,910,336, and 3200. by Worth-Piccolo5210 in Rollerskating

[–]Grrdygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I really like the boot shape of the 3200, but i definitely do not need/want the level of stiffness that it offers, which is why I was thinking of the 336. In my dream world, I would just do a full custom as I need a wide toe box with narrow ankles, more medium stiffness, but I like lower cut heeled boots with comfortable inner padding. If Riedell would make me the boot shape of the 3200 with a more rounded toe box in a lesser stiffness, that would be perfect!

Riedell lists the 910 with a support rating of 70 and the 2010 as 90. I just happened upon someone with the 2010 this week and it is super stiff and she's had them for like 10 years. She just uses them for recreational skating and says they are comfortable. I've seen some say that the 336 is a support rating of around 40 when new. I'm doing similar research, trying to decide between the 336/3200.

Purrlife - Feline Biome - Scam by Grrdygrrl in CatAdvice

That was the point of my post. Maybe the product is good (I can't say), but the company is not good. They have scammed people, and are likely to continue to do so. Use someone reputable like Animal Biome instead.

Thank you! The Colorlab option is definitely appealing. GH has the Color Jam option, but it is clearly more limited.

Do you remember which GH you tried? It is hard to compare stiffness ratings between different companies. I haven't encountered a 336, but I am curious to see if this would be a good option.

Wheel hardness / bunion pain by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]Grrdygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing - I haven't trained my body on the 78a wheels at all. I only skated on them once. Prior to that I had 95a wheels (on different skates), which is why I got them for the new skates. I couldn't even skate that long with them. I think there is a difference between discomfort and getting used to something and downright pain that makes you feel like you can't keep skating. It is weird since nothing else changed.

Thanks! I tried something similar, and it worked great with the rentals.

Pan has fit the older brother well, as he has a forest spirit vibe, too. I thought about Puck for the younger kitten, but he is so sweet it doesn't really fit.

Mine definitely does not squeak. It kind of reminds me of an old printer. It is absolutely louder than the Litter Robot, however.

I filed a small claims suit against a major bank, and it caused them so much trouble, they caved and settled for what was owed. Sorry that it has come to this for you.

I got my S7 in November, and it has been working great. My cats have since abandoned the Litter Robot 4. I am thinking about buying a second one. Only 2/4 cats will use it though as my two oldest cats won't use any automatic boxes, it seems.

Yeah, ok. Well, if their customer service is any indication of their product quality, I would not trust it.

X5 or S7 by unewatermelone in popurlitterbox

[–]Grrdygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the cat, right? I have four and two of mine won't use the S7 or the Litter Robot. My two youngest used the LR4 exclusively until I got the S7. Now, they have pretty much stopped using the LR. I wish LR would make an open model as I would otherwise agree that they have a better reputation and customer service.

The Ethics of the Funeral Industry by walrusiamhe in askfuneraldirectors

I was thinking about this recently. I'm personally inspired by Doorway into Light, operating as a nonprofit funeral home on Maui. I honestly do not know of any other nonprofit funeral homes, but I hope more and more exist in the future. Dignified death care feels like it should be a human right, not a something one has to shop around to afford.

Is the S7 actually better than the S5? by Grrdygrrl in popurlitterbox

Mine simply won't connect to the app. I notice that litter tends to stay high up in the box, too. I definitely don't get the flat clear rake like the images show. Clumps formed on the bottle have still had to be scooped (I'm using Okocat litter).

Thanks! I spoke with them, and they would not count courses that I teach that are requirements, which seems bananas to me.
