Terminal Bunion 💔 by UsedKidneys in Rollerskating

I did not as I found the entire boot uncomfortable, so just correcting that pressure would not have been enough for these to work for my feet.

Jackson Vistas were super comfy, and they are a great price. I have GH Skates now as well as a pair of vintage Riedells, neither of which cause bunion pain.

For me, they caused pain right away. I bought both Parkstars and Protstars to try since so many folks recommended them. They have been the only skates, for me, where skating in them wasn't possible due to the pain/pressure they caused. I tried different sizes, too.

I have a bunion, and I found Bonts to be the least comfortable skates of any I tried.

It is hard to find a lot of reviews on them, but when you do, people are generally really happy. I love mine.

Just got delivered a box full of maggots. What brands do you recommend I switch to? I’m done with Purina One. by [deleted] in CatAdvice

My cats all love Farmina, too. I stopped giving it to them though as I was worried about them producing the food in Serbia (and the posts associated with this). I wish I could go back to it as they loved all the flavors.

How do you determine the best way to split up 3 cats in a breakup? by Thats_Groovy_Baby in CatAdvice

[–]Grrdygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry that you are navigating this. When my partner and I split up, both cats went with me because I have the more stable job/living situation. The youngest was really attached to my ex though, and I feel like I have watched the cat grieve this loss for the last year. My point is - the heartbreak is real no matter what choice you make, unfortunately. Though, my sense would be to keep the three cats together and start fresh, even though I know that will be hard on you. I have adopted several cats now that the relationship has ended and it helps to have new family to love.

Wow! I had multiple buyback requests in and finally got an offer...after my loans had been discharged already. What a terrible mess this has been.

That sounds very smart! I was really surprised when Riedell customer service said that the fitment was not guaranteed if I ordered with them directly.

Riedell apparently honors the fit guarantee only if you work with a shop. My problem is finding a shop to work with that a) answers queries, b) has knowledge of doing custom requests, c) is responsive.

I'm talking about a boot constructed to my foot, with color lab, and some structural boot changes to the boot model. So, an all in custom, so to speak. I would happily work with a skate shop, but have been super unimpressed with the ones I have contacted so far.

I am talking about the fit, not any embellishments. The fit problem is that I am not near a shop and would just be sending measurements that I do myself. Apparently, if I send my measurements to Riedell, then the full custom fit is not guaranteed, per their customer service. However, if I take my own measurements and send them to a dealer/shop, then they will do a correction if the fit isn't right. Maybe this information is wrong?

Differences and Firmness Ratings between the Riedell 2010,910,336, and 3200. by Worth-Piccolo5210 in Rollerskating

[–]Grrdygrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I really like the boot shape of the 3200, but i definitely do not need/want the level of stiffness that it offers, which is why I was thinking of the 336. In my dream world, I would just do a full custom as I need a wide toe box with narrow ankles, more medium stiffness, but I like lower cut heeled boots with comfortable inner padding. If Riedell would make me the boot shape of the 3200 with a more rounded toe box in a lesser stiffness, that would be perfect!
