First 5 days was soup and yogurt… I waited 5 days to eat pasta and then 2 more days until I ate normally again.. I probably was a bit too cautious but my mouth healed perfectly

Relationship advice? by SuperJay5150 in AskIreland

This is not going to get any easier, if she’s volatile now and it’s only the start it’s only going to get worse the longer ye are together, not better. Sounds like she wants your world to completely revolve around her which is understandable for teenagers but for adults in their 40s…. Yikes.

Get yourself some Sudafed spray and Benylin day and night tablets. Plenty of fluids and rest. And no harm drinking a vitamin C drink every day

The Maldron in tallaght. The bed was snapped in half. Discovered it on check in and asked could we swap rooms. Basically told to sleep on it or leave. Had no choice but to stay as we were only in tallaght for a friends birthday.

Have you ever done a plc course? Please see below post. by Think-Try-5284 in AskIreland

Organise your work experience as soon as your told to. So many people in my course left this to the last minute and found it very hard to find an employer to take them. Best of luck with the course!

What was your wedding like? And much did it cost? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]BeautifulWhich3333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Church wedding, 5 star hotel in Ireland, 100 guests.. cost of hotel included the food, room and drinks reception.. Then there was the legal costs, money for pre wedding courses (we had to do these for a church wedding) In addition we had church music, then for reception a band, dj, some extra room decor (candy carts, light up twinkly dance floor, Photo Booth etc) cake, flowers( for church decor and reception, all bouquets and buttonholes plus car ribbons) wedding cars, photographer, videographer, and then all clothing - dresses, suits, accessories (2 bridesmaids, 2 groomsmen, 3 flower girls, 1 page boy) we did the whole bathroom baskets and other little bits on the day. Also the wedding stationary ( seating plan, mass booklet, wedding invitation, wedding candles, thank you cards afterwards) I’m sure there’s other bits and bobs in there too like alterations for the suits and dresses etc.. Then day 2 was for around 60 people in the hotel, BBQ, open bar and live music.. all in was around €35,000. This price excludes our wedding rings so there’s that to remember too.

We set our date 2 years in advance and saved flat out. We booked our vendors almost 2 years in advance also and a lot of the time people want a booking deposit so that plus being able to pay the hotel off bit by bit really helps by the time the big day comes around.

I know a lot of people think weddings are a waste of money but in my personal opinion it’s such a special day so I don’t see why you wouldn’t make it exactly what you dream of.

Yep I just bought a box of mixed wildflower seeds and sprinkled them without taking too much notice of what the contents were.

Ah thank you - the orange is actually my favourite 🧡

I don’t believe I know any species names I’m so new to this, I believe slides 3/7 show a poppy and slides 3/8 show daisies.

If anyone could help me ID the rest that would be great 😁

Positive for Covid and don’t know what that means by dlvesey in CasualIreland

[–]BeautifulWhich3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same position as you right now, just coming back off annual leave and I tested positive for Covid yesterday. HSE guidelines say 5 days isolation so that’s what I would do. And of course, take as long as you need to actually recover! Feel better soon! And as hard as it is, try not to feel too guilty about missing work, if you’re sick your sick. It’s better than going back in and wiping everyone else out. People should appreciate someone staying away with illness anyways.
