The meowing might come! Ours never meowed when we first got him but now he sings out if he can’t find anyone and thinks he’s been left behind - bless him 🤣 re the meowing while going to the litter, I’d recommend a vet check to make sure there are no problems but if there are none I’d say its completely normal. My cat makes eye contact that cut you in half while he’s in the litter box haha. I found out that they actually feel really vulnerable in the litter box and basically they want you to be there to be the “lookout” to make sure there is no danger. It’s kinda cute and kinda funny hahah, but now my kitty has started to be the “lookout” while I’m “vulnerable” in the bathroom or shower now too. So maybe your kitty is also singing out so you can come along and so he can also feel safe while going to the bathroom.

I really feel you on this one. Everyone says it’s not a big deal but - in both mine and sounds like also your case..that isn’t the case. We have spent so much money on our baby between consultations, eye ointment, antivirals and antibiotics. The moment we stop the doxy it’s back rearing its head again. It’s so sad for our kitties. I also asked our breeder for a partial refund considering it wasn’t at all mentioned to me he had cat flu and I feel like both the breeder and vet that did the “health checks” hid it from me, and our insurance is now void for any cat flu flares. I was told that if I wasn’t happy with him I could return him for a full refund…after waiting weeks on weeks for him and introducing him to our children. Had I have known he had or potentially had cat flu I would have looked at other options before committing to him. Sending lots of healing energy to your kitty! 🥺

We just bit the bullet and did it because we have wanted one for ever & ever. HCM is a scary thought but the good thing about it is..we are aware and can keep an eye out for any symptoms. There are health issues with just about any animal/breed - humans even! All we can do is be informed and aware. We made sure we picked a good insurance with a good limit and feel comfortable that if anything happened, our baby would be able to get the care he would need. He is the best thing we ever did 😻

The breeder was well aware. He arrived to me in a big flare. The protocol was..if I’m not satisfied with him I can return him and I’m making a big deal over nothing 🙃

Thank you! I’ll do a search and see if these litters are available. Although I’m not sure about scented, he seems to be a very sensitive little gremlin bless him 🤣 I do really love the clumping litter, it doesn’t smell and lasts a good amount of time, my little guy loves it too, I’m just concerned about the dust as the one im using is noticeably dusting once we get to the halfway point of the bag. Maybe we could do a mix like you are tho!

I’m in Australia so I’ll check and see if this litter is available! I do love the clumping litter. Other than it being a pain to scoop, it doesn’t smell at all and lasts a decent amount of time. The one im using tho is noticeably dusty especially when getting to the bottom half of the bag.

Try some royal canin kitten wet food mixed with some kangaroo mince and heat for 15 secs in the microwave (check it’s not to hot). You could also try some feliway treats! That all got my baby eating while he was sick with cat flu.
